And any limit here would likely be permanent. Euston is prime land in central London. If you decide you don’t need the land for platforms and release it to developers, you won’t be getting it back. Ever.

I’ve represented Noah Pozner’s parents for six years. Noah shares a birthday with my son. His parents have to deal with this garbage every single day. It tears me up that no matter what I do, I will never fully vindicate his legacy from these freaks.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Frank Duckworth MBE, co-inventor of the Duckworth-Lewis method for cricket and a much loved RSS fellow. Editor of RSS News for 20 years and recipient of our Chambers Medal, he will be greatly missed. rss.org.uk/news-publication/…

Chambers was too far behind for Ming's (Flanagan's) excess to matter. I bet the staff are hoping they don't come into play so that they can finish (very slightly earlier). It's been a long few days for the #EE24 count staff.

As much as I enjoyed @gavreilly spreadsheets, they were missing bits on transfer efficiency and what the current effective quota it is likely more than 1 elected won't make the quota), so I made my own. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

At most two more counts to go in #MidlandsNW constituency. After count 19, the gap between the bottom two is 3796. If the difference between them is less than 5429 (Ming's excess) once Lisa Chambers 62818 votes are distributed in count 20, then there will need to be a count 21.

One for Irish election nerds: has there ever been a multi seat (ie not Presidential or by) election in Ireland where no one met the quota (after all the counts were completed)? So, N seats, where N>1, where the final N 1 candidates were **all** under the quota?

This explains why someone getting elected on the first count can really slow down the entire count process in Ireland Having to go through all of their votes to proportionally allocate their no 2s is slow, especially in European elections.

If no one makes the quota in count 1, then you are looking at transfers from eliminated candidates which can happen quite quickly. Things then slow down when you get to the candidates eliminated with more than 10k votes.

The plan (that I have been told) is that the Dublin count will go on to approx 9pm, before returning tomorrow. We'll see how many more candidates are eliminated this evening. 14 left competing for 4 seats I wouldn't be that surprised if it takes to Wednesday to finish in Dublin.
