Two different paths, two incredible journeys. 🇮🇳🇵🇱
Back in 2016, India’s Sathwika Sama faced Poland's Maja Chwalinska at the Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals (then Junior Fed Cup) in Budapest, Hungary
Flash forward to today, and both have carved out remarkable, wildly different legacies:
✨ Maja Chwalinska recently made tennis history by becoming the first-ever qualifier to reach the final at the French Open
👮♀️ Sathwika Sama went on to peak at a career-high WTA ranking of 809, won the Singles Gold Medal at the 2019 South Asian Games, and now proudly serves the nation as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Telangana
Chwalinska had won that match for the loss of one game!

🚨 India's Women's 4x100m Relay Team wins Gold, matching the Championship Record!
India's Women's 4x100m Relay team stormed to gold in 44.07s, equalling their own Championship Record (CR) at the New Taipei City Athletics Open 2026.
Srabani provided a solid start, Sneha held her own on the second leg, Sudheshna produced a blistering third leg, and Tamanna capped off the race with a strong finish as India dominated the field.
Interestingly, the Indian team also won gold at the same meet last year in exactly the same time — 44.07s!
The quartet has shown the ability to run much faster, having clocked 43.86s at the Asian Athletics 2025, their best performance over the past two years.
With the Asian Games on the horizon, India will be hoping to produce a few more sub-44-second performances and further strengthen their position among Asia's leading sprint relay teams.

Oxford, the longest running continuous weather station in UK history, with temperature observations stretching back to 1815, has preliminarily broken its maximum temperature record for May yesterday by OVER 3ºC with a temperature of 33.7ºC. Unprecedented in its 211-year history.

"She's been incredible. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I wouldn't be here without her. Both as a companion, as a friend, as someone I'm sharing my life with, but also as a real support system for my game. She's a professional golfer herself. So her mindset, her advice, her thoughts, whether it's technique or the way I'm holding myself is absolutely invaluable. She encompasses so many different sides in her opinions.
"We even had a conversation yesterday for probably 30 minutes in the car just before we got back to the hotel, just speaking a little bit about today. Again, some of the things that she mentioned in the conversations were really with me today.
