Fwiw Google's family link has the parent set the age of their child and does all other kinds of 'crazy' stuff like limit and block apps like what parents should do, as parents.
🚨 NEW: Facebook and Instagram owner Meta has called for device-level age checks in response to the UK's social media ban for children "People shouldn't be asked to hand over ID to dozens of individual services to prove their age"

Admittedly Google's own interpretation of when children should be given full responsibility is 13 and Apple's equivalent is total shit and a trillion dollar company should do better but is trying to involve the parents more before foisting this on everyone such a bad idea?

Mehdi doing the meme. Love it. “But all these anti-Israel activists say it’s genocide!”
Yes, let’s ignore the UN Commission, multiple UN special rapporteurs, the international association of genocide scholars and its president, Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, Btselem, Doctors Without Borders and leading Israeli historians of the Holocaust like Amos Goldberg and Omer Bartov. Instead let’s listen to a Twitter troll like you. Ok. lol.

The problem with their reasoning is that there's nothing that couldn't be used to justify other recent appalling behaviour that the offenders would likely consider legitimate protest too. Smashing stuff up on an utterly untrue premise is always bad, controversial I know.
According to high-profile groups @Amnesty and @LibertyHQ, the Filton Four were "heroes" engaged in "direct action" protests. Not a word towards Sergeant Evans whose spine was fractured when she was attacked with a sledgehammer in a criminal attack. Parallel universe stuff.

Those idiots deserve what they got, but my greater contempt is reserved for the propaganda agents like Polanski, Owen Jones, Mehdi Hassan and all the others who pushed the Gaza genocide hoax for clicks and conned these people into throwing their futures away.
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

Well smashing a policewoman on the back is typically frowned upon by decent society but being the leader of the green party that's not something you'd be too acquainted with.

This unqualified bore says his secondhand opinions are “not up for debate.” Yes they are. At a university all opinions are up for debate. If you cannot defend your opinions rationally, either they are indefensible or you are too stupid to defend them. In either case you have no right to force them on students who have expressed their wish to attend a lecture by doing so. thetimes.com/uk/education/ar…

Spoke to a DoorDash driver the other day He makes $200k a year delivering food Incredible Asked him how (seemed way too high) He makes about 20 deliveries a day Gets paid an average of $7 per delivery That’s $35k a year Plus he delivers on a bicycle so his profit margin is basically 100% So where’d the rest of the money come from? Last month he got hit by a truck and got a $165k insurance payout Love that income hack Might have to try doing DoorDash myself

"of course, in those days we had to make our own memes"
In 2003, a Flash animation of dancing badgers yelling “badger” became one of the internet’s biggest early brain infections.

The line stops when you understand that 'gender expression', whatever that actually means, does not override someone's born sex. Easy as that!
When the new EHRC code of practice turns a conversation about women’s safety into gender policing, where does the line stop? Nish and Coco are joined by LGBTQ activist and Trans Pride Brighton co-founder Sabah Choudrey to discuss on new episode out now.

I wonder if any of his fan club in the PLP are starting to feel buyers remorse
EXCL: Andy Burnham’s first broadcast interview since confirming he’d join any potential Labour leadership contest • is ‘sympathetic’ to reversing the gov’s NI rise for employers • asked why he believes he’d be a better PM than Keir Starmer says ‘I’m not getting into that’ • bringing utilities under ‘strong public control’ cld mean ‘much tougher regulation OR public ownership’ • asked multiple times *how* he wld pay for bringing energy, water, housing, transport into public control, says ‘You do it over a long period of time’ • asked abt the fiscal rules says, ‘'I know what the fiscal rules are ...we will set out a plan that is within those rules' Interview across the BBC soon..

The submission to appeal the revoking of his UK visa could do with some work
Israel is not our ally. They're a foreign government that has stolen our nuclear secrets, nuclear triggers and uranium. And they built weapons of mass destruction with them. They also stole our most sensitive intelligence through Jonathan Pollard. They have robbed us of $320 billion. They made us waste $8 trillion fighting their wars in the Middle East. The way they pulled off these heists is by legally bribing almost our entire Congress and being the top donor to presidents from both parties. Their co-conspirators are the national media who cover up all these crimes and pretend that Israel is an innocent victim who desperately needs our help. When they are the exact opposite. They are an aggressive empire that takes our money and military and uses it to attack their neighbors and take their land. We have to stop this inflitration of our country by a foreign nation that has taken control of the power structure in Washington. We are occupied.

I don't know who this bloke is, but he looks like he's stepped straight out of a different era. The suit. The tie. The moustache. The confidence. A proper throwback to an England that valued character, individuality and a bit of class.

Ireland defense for supplying roughly 90% of EU alumina exports to Russia is that the EU never sanctioned alumina. But when it came to Israel, Ireland didn't wait for the EU. Dublin pushed ahead with its own Occupied Territories legislation, openly challenging the EU's common trade policy and arguing that moral considerations required action. Apparently, "we can't act without Brussels" applies to Russia, but not to Israel. Interesting standard.

I knew things were bad but the political illiteracy on display is beyond ridiculous, thinking that somehow if you can block the guidance the law magically changes. A law that really only impacted ppl with a GRC as for everyone else their sex was always the one they were born with
Fantastic read from @PaulKnaggs "the political damage...is measured in every working-class woman who watches Labour MPs sign a motion against the legal clarity she has waited years for, and draws the obvious conclusion. It is measured in every constituency where the word ‘Labour’ no longer carries the meaning it was intended to carry. The party that was built to represent the interests of those with the least power in society has, on this question, positioned itself against the sex-based protections of half the population." labourheartlands.com/betraya… via @Labourheartland
