This kind of technology is what will separate β€œenvironmentalists” into people who actually care about the wellbeing of the Earth vs. people who just want to see human endeavors fail
autonomous robot driving through the field at night. no chemicals. no pesticides. just UV light killing pathogens and pests while everyone sleeps. this is @tricrobotics. this is what chemical-free pest control looks like at scale.

The entire world is coated with a thin film of inertia. Everything. You can pierce it
always thought harry potter series was unrealistically pessimistic about how few characters would care to learn more how the magic actually works & then u watch people interact with llms

Red sprites from last night. Last night was crazy. I captured over 60 individual sprite events. Captured from southern Minnesota looking toward the storm over Missouri / Illinois.

β€œWe don’t want otters to go extinct. They’re still 85% of animals in their burrows; we’ve only replaced 15%. We just believe the decreasing proportions of otters is progress, and we would like to continue that progress (at all costs). But we don’t want them to go extinct”
The left often has a poor theory of mind of the right, but it absolutely cannot compare to how little they understand us Like this thread is full of people who unironically believe all leftists want to see all white nations go extinct

β€œWe don’t want otters to go extinct. We just believe that β€˜otter culture’ is what defines being an otter, so every otter dying off is not actually an extinction. Also, the replacement of otters with other animals is inevitable and necessary. But we don’t want them to go extinct”

I have a much more assimilationist view. What is "ethnically native" also shifts over time, most European nations had various (white) migration waves over the centuries What is more important than skin colour is language and culture. France, derided by the right, does it well

The incredible thing about the left isn't that they doing have zero theory of mind for the right, it's that they have zero theory of mind for themselves. They are utterly lacking in self-awareness, blind to their own motivations because not only do they have to lie about their motives to others, they have to lie about their motives to themselves. Leftism requires a continuous process of not-noticing. They have to not-notice sexual differences, racial differences, and so on. They then have to follow this up by not-noticing their own acts of not-noticing. Their internal narrative control mind parasite edits inconvenient facts from their awareness, and then covers its tracks by editing the act of editing itself. They literally don't know what they're doing. In advanced cases their psychology effectively ceases to be human: humans are sapient, self-aware organisms, and the mind virus destroys self-awareness. We say that leftism wears institutions like a skin-suit, but it does the same thing to leftists. Which is how you find leftists posting howlers like, "leftists don't want to exterminate white countries".

Leftists who nerd out about Vikings, Celtic music, Ancient Greek philosophy, or anything to do with European history & culture confuse me so much. It’s like, β€œOtters are my favorite animals :) I can’t wait for them all to go extinct :))”

Like I’m genuinely so baffled that e.g. Renaissance Faires & viking music festivals are full of Redditoids instead of right-wing extremists

great episode. ends up being this interesting critique where everyone from conservatives to libertarians to white nationalists have internalized elements of a left-wing civil rights mythology and how they all desire to live vicariously through the minority activism of the era.

Part of why the right struggles to seize institutional power is that most of their high iq, cutthroat sociopaths go into fields like finance & corporate law instead of government. It really has been a blessing for the left that their sociopaths dream of bureaucracy

Everyone needs to know the origin of the word β€œrune.” When ancient Germanics formed their own alphabet, they called the letters *rΕ«nōz or β€œwhispers,” because as your eyes followed them, they spoke to you, silently. Reading is magic to a people at the dawn of literacy, who haven’t yet learned to take the miracle for granted.
