@raileurope you have a major disconnect / consumer protection legal issue on your web site In booking process, I was surprised to see reservation fees being applied on Interrail reservations when on the VERY SAME page in your UI it says all of: 1/n

Question for Scots about your newly acquired 18 SEZs and 2 Freeports (signed off by SNP MP Kate ‘nothing to see here’ Forbes. Do you know if Scottish SEZs have an Investor State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) or equivalent mechanism written into their 25 year licenses?’ The 48 English SEZs do, it is called the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Similar to ISDS LCIA is a corporate justice court that can bypass domestic courts and the national sovereignty of country’s with the power to sue govts for billions in arbitration disputes. In 2008 LCIA partnered with Dubai International Financial Centre's Arbitration Institute (DAI) and the LCIA, the DIFC-LCIA combined the reputation of the LCIA with expertise in the legal and business culture of the Gulf and wider MENA region to deliver arbitration and ADR services for local and foreign business within the MENA region. jusmundi.com/en/document/pub… Why am I asking this? It is beyond urgent that a devolved administration such as Scotland, that had no obligation to adopt Westminster’s rollout of deregulated SEZs and Freeports check whether or not a corporation, foreign or domestic can sue the Scottish Govt for potentially billions in a investor dispute. An ISDS type case could bankrupt Scotland especially one that emanates from any one of Scotland’s 18 deregulated SEZs and 2 Freeports. Know that the Honduran Govt is embroiled in an ISDS case with Peter Thiel’s venture capital company Prospera who tried to set up a charter city on the Island of Roatan until it was shut down by The Supreme Court for violations of Honduran citizens sovereignty. Prospera is suing the Honduran Govt for $11 billion which is nearly two thirds of the Honduras economy. Starmer has just announced the UK govt is to take a secondary role in economic growth by handing over big govt powers to corporations meaning they can ‘self-regulate’ in a country that is now literally a patchwork of corporate sovereignties. jusmundi.com/en/document/pub…

NEWS: Elon Musk gives a thorough update after the 4th launch of Starship. Will we see a catch for Flight 5? How will Starlink be even better on the next flight? These are some of the questions Elon answers for us. I hope this interview informs you about the incredible work SpaceX is doing. Thank you, @elonmusk for making time to chat. (1/7) Launches become less newsworthy as they become more routine, and this has led to the general population not seeing the revolution in spaceflight. Space technology is going to change the lives of ordinary people in the next decade in the following ways...

One of the many measures necessary to mitigate the (4x) increased explosion risk from hydrogen heating is drilling 10cm holes into the walls of any room that has a hydrogen boiler (or pipework) in it. Making the homes colder, meaning more hydrogen is needed, pushing up bills.

Andrew doesn't get it, shall we help him out? In 2022 to date, wind has generated around 50TWh of electricity, avoiding the need for 100TWh of gas, which would have cost more than £7bn (UK bought 36TWh from Russia last year; perhaps Andrew would prefer we asked Vlad for more?)

Wind providing only 3% of UK electricity needs this morning, only a little more than coal (2%). Yes coal! Gas providing a whopping 60%. Yes gas, now at stratospheric price levels.

Had a few convo's recently - England and Scotland - about supermarkets pulling their "Value Ranges" - as I was told by a manager - "they aren't profitable enough". Forget all the condiments I moaned about. Co-op brand breakfast cereals are now gone from the shelves. Bread too.

Sounds like you have quite a sophisticated approach in mind. Can you elaborate this more please?

That's what I figured the store would do . Boost the low flow/temp heat pump (30°C) for when we return home at night. Cheap overnight electric charge up. hopefully wondering if the experts would weigh in with a knowledge 💣

Would love to see the EU fix this. #CrossBorderRail Well done @jonworth - a pretty heroic effort. Commissioner for Rail should hire you as the consultant / Czar to fix this.

According to carbonintensity.org.uk/ gas accounts for just 3.1% of generation in South Scotland right now. Yet our bills are 100% influenced by gas prices 🤔
