It’s easy to tell if someone gets it for online attention vs. genuine love for cars. Drive around Miami and everyone is driving a Urus, Huracán, M4, etc. They got it because everyone else got one. They don’t actually know what they want. No taste. 90% of cases. Then you go to an affluent suburban neighborhood and you see the difference. 90s Land Rovers. 2000s Ferraris and Lambos. Hummer H1s. Taste has nothing to do with getting the latest and most expensive and has everything to do with having a style preference, love for design, etc. Saw all of these during a walk yesterday.

Been doing this with Claude already and it’s genuinely insane. There is quite literally no limit to what you can do. You have an idea, tell Claude to create it, and it’s done in minutes. Dev agencies are no longer needed
the drag-and-drop era of building on shopify is over. meta just launched the manus x shopify builder, and it completely changes how stores are built. you don't pick a template. you don't install plugins. you don't configure payment gateways. you just type a prompt. "create a minimalist online store for a specialty coffee brand, with a blog and customer reviews." in minutes, it generates the entire stack: 🔵 frontend design 🔵 backend database 🔵 stripe integration 🔵 inventory management 🔵 seo-optimized product pages it's a production-ready store from moment one. for years, the barrier to entry for ecommerce was technical setup. you had to string together shopify, five different plugins, and a payment processor. now, the barrier to entry is just having a good product and a clear vision. the machine handles the plumbing. you handle the business. the barrier to entry has never been easier

I recently got quoted $4,500 for one post from a creator with 50k followers. She gets about 4 comments per video. The reason UGC creators used to be able to charge these amounts is because there was more demand than supply. 5 years ago you could easily charge thousands of dollars per post because sourcing creators was challenging. TikTok Shop changed that. UGC has become commoditized. Anyone with a small following can make money through sheer volume of posting content. You don’t need to go through managers, contracts, etc. like before. Removing managers alone shaves off a large margin. We’re now past “influencer marketing”. Before it was seen as large following = good content. But now we know that’s not true. The only thing that matters is engagement and understanding the algorithm. Small creators now have access to do this, and they can stack up affiliate revenue in addition to small brand deals. Competition among creators is more evenly distributed, which naturally brings prices down. This previous model of charging large sums per post (usually with little return) will die over the next 24 months

Soulless and consumers can feel it
POV: you're a CPG brand spending $15K/month on product photography Meanwhile, Ad Machine just generated all the assets you need from a single iPhone photo. The old way is already dead. Most brands just don't know it yet.

This is the move. Did it a while back and haven’t gone back
About 10 days ago I switched our ad account over to 1 single consolidated CBO I used to run a separate ABO testing campaign and scaling campaign but wanted to consolidate budgets and customer journeys Since the switch our CAC is noticeably down and spend is up but I am going to wait a full month before making any real performance judgements My time in the ad account is down like 85%, there is very little button tinkering you can do in this set up and I believe that is one of the big benefits The only levers in the account are really just your budget and your bid. You can disagree but that is obviously the direction Meta is going and how they are building the delivery models Makes no sense to try to fight against it Most importantly the consolidated CBO is basically a forcing function on improving your new creatives and landers. Everything competes head on with everything now, there is no more forcing spend on new ads just because they are new Good ads spend and win, plain and simple Here is a full write up of the account structure: dtcprophet.com/p/consolidati…
