TFG are our owners for now - they’ve partly addressed some of our funding issues - they seem to realise it’s best to try and employ the best CEO & Manager you can and then leave them to do their job -they will use every accounting trick they can

If you pay your credit card off on time you don’t pay interest. If you’re late in paying or only pay off part of the balance you are charged interest from the date of the transaction. Not sure Patric’s analogy works.

It’s like saying someone who hasn’t paid their credit card off until the final day of the month should be charged full interest anyway. This IC was found to be overly zealous the first time and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are found to be just that yet again, but we’ll see

Most observers have forgotten that Everton spent the entire 21/22 season under a special measures type plan with the PL (they even had to get each signing approved). I suggest it makes the argument that no breach occurred before 1 July 2022 harder…

Wondering why the VAR did not step in to give South Africa a corner at the end of the first half? #MEXRSA

I’m sorry He was one of Burnley’s experts Each party could use experts. Their experts backed up their case Ours backed up ours. They could both be challenged.
I'm sorry but this is absolutely WILD. "Important witness" was David Baldwin the ex Burnley chief executive but the Premier League independent disciplinary commission were "satisfied that that did not colour his evidence" HOW? Did you give him a full-frontal lobotomy?

Forget PSR - more important quotes “We had a good season except the last month or so when we sort of blew up” Then him talking about relegation yet again.
🚨David Moyes has now reacted to the recent news that Everton must pay Burnley compensation. The Everton manager confirms what The Friedkin Group have told him about how it could impact summer spending, and whether they were aware of the situation before they bought the club. A reminder that ambition isn’t enough Moshiri had plenty of ambition. But little business or football sense.

More misinformation @KieranMaguire ? Do you think it would be covered by warranties & indemnities in the S&P? Wouldn’t Everton have the protection of a football creditor? @slbsn has a very different take on both issues
Kieran Maguire in the Echo.. I’d take the hit just to see Burnley go into administration. One shit stain on football that club!

Supposedly the leading expert on football finance in the UK posting a completely inaccurate explanation of why Everton breached PSR. What hope do fans have of understanding what’s happening. People need to do better. Cc @slbsn @DaleJohnsonBBC @CWeatherspoon_

Our lawyer set the precedent that failing FFP = sporting advantage, when he worked for the football league Everton have accepted the principle all the way through the process But fans know different🤦‍♂️
Replying to @CitizenSuburbia
is there not a flaw in this whole process that PSR was to protect the club (in this case Everton) from getting into a situation where they became financially vulnerable, not as a measure of competitiveness. PSR should be a financial barometer, not sporting advantage

Lots of focus on the long term cost of the punishments. Complete silence on the long term impact of the overspend Branthwaite, Pickford, Keane, Mykolenko, Patterson all signed pre 21/22 Garner, McNeil, IGG, Tarks signed in 22/23 Profits from Onana kept the lights on

The Everton situation is all down to Jan 2022. This net spend is pretty much the entire breach of PSR that Burnley are claiming kept us up. With hindsight, changing manager and Dele Alli's cameo vs. Palace probably *did* make the difference.

🚨 In 2024, Everton did try and get the Independent Commission that gave it the 10 point deduction to recuse itself on the grounds of apparent bias. Unsurprisingly, it failed.

More hatred of Maupay Only 7 of our players have scored more PL goals than Maupay’s 33 (Lukaku, Ferguson, DCL, Cahill, Campbell, Osman & Richy)
