No more parking on Dallas Road next to Ross Bay. It just got a lot harder to enjoy free public spaces. Another 15-minute city layer put in place by the council you voted in. #ICLEI

Palestinians have linguistic, cultural and religious brothers in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Why don't those countries absorb the refugees?

When I ran for Council the dvba would not even meet with me. And I had a business-friendly platform. It's time we let business owners within the Victoria municipality the right to vote in municipal elections.
I’m still gobsmacked that just under HALF of the businesses in downtown Victoria have told the DVBA they’d consider shutting down in the next year if their leases were up. Has the NDP even acknowledged this yet? Does Victoria even have any MLAs at the moment? What is more important than this? #bcpoli

Same party. Same people. Fourth Liberal term. Same trajectory. Expect: 1. even less GDP per capita (income per household) 👇 2. Mass migration ☝️ 3. Housing costs☝️ 4. Doctor shortage☝️ 5. Carbon tax ☝️ 6. Unemployment ☝️ 7. Cost of living ☝️ More of the same
No, you’re not mistaken, this picture is from today.

Informed Consent case law has ruled that personal choice on what is ingested/injected is sacrosanct. Even if consent is given but it's proved that the patient was misinformed, the party pushing for treatment can be found liable. Courts have already been dealt with this
Personal beliefs do not supersede the public good - and #vaccination is a public good. Why do we have 'religious and philosophical' exemptions for vaccines, a policy that harms children? by @picardonhealth theglobeandmail.com/opinion/… @GlobeDebate #measles #bioethics

Perhaps the most stunningly tone deaf piece I've seen recently. Informed Consent case law LITERALLY entrenches an individual's choice on what they ingest/inject is sacrosanct. And even if they consent but we're misinformed, the party pushing a treatment is liable. SMH GandM!

Parliament shut down January 6. Has your life been affected? That's how useless it is.

Again, I don't want to oversimplify, but ... CANADIAN VOTER UNDER 40: "Maybe if this election changes the status quo I'll be able to afford having a child before I die alone in a rental unit somewhere." CANADIAN VOTER OVER 40: "Elbows up."

I’m not a Canadian so maybe I’m missing something. Help me understand. Has Carney ever been elected to Parliament or any other political office? Where has he lived for the last ten years? What was his job? Does he really care about Canada or was he sent in to accomplish what Trudeau couldn’t for the World Economic Forum? If so, how will it benefit Canada to surrender its sovereignty to unelected bureaucrats of the World Economic Forum? Doesn’t sound very Gordie Howe to me. Canada is Canada. Not a vassal state of the US and not a vassal state of the WEF. Elbows up to both, folks. x.com/MarkJCarney/status/190…

Carney was a Trudeau advisor from 2020 onward. If he had something to say why didn't he do it then? Freeland was the architect of the last 9 years? Carney is godfather to her son. If you vote Liberal, you will bring in the same crew we've had all along.
This afternoon, I joined Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, Minister @DLeBlancNB and the Premiers to discuss how we can work together to build an economy that works for all Canadians. 🇨🇦

Verbal sleight of hand. Government is not in session so nothing has been canceled. Carney has just brought the tax down to zero temporarily. Do you trust the man that's been advising Trudeau for the past 5 years regarding carbon taxes? This is an IQ test
The world is shifting, and Canada needs to be ready. The consumer carbon tax was too divisive when we should be pulling together. That’s why I took action to cancel it on day one.

Getting into an unwinable trade war is going to guarantee pain. Then what? Be angry at our politicians who failed to secure the border and will now bring untold pain to our wallets with this insane trade war AND will not pull back carbon taxes or the April carbon tax hike.
Replying to @Adam_Stirling
Analysis: we are done with appeasement. Now it's a war... We win or we get crushed. #cdnpoli

So we can assume you agreed with -- or caused -- everything Trudeau did. Got it.
There’s a reason Trump called me a “whack.” There’s a reason he complained about my negotiating skills. There’s a reason Putin kicked me out of Russia, too. I don’t back down—and Trump and Putin know it. I’m ready to fight for Canada—and win.

This project will further impoverish Victoria residents and business owners. The proposed cost will likely double as will the property and commercial taxes. In less than 2 years YYJ will NEED a new council to stop overspending. Will YYJ voters remain pathologically apathetic?

Eby Talk-a-lot waxing poetic, feigning love of the military while throwing most British Columbians under the bus through carbon tax and US tariff war so...
While Trump stokes hate and division, David Eby unites, uplifts, and brings people together. The Invictus Games are about resilience, solidarity, and strength—everything real leadership should embody. Thank you Premier for being the leader we need #BeLikeEby #bcpoli #cdnpoli

Carney NEVER criticized CO2 tax until he decided to run for office. This will be an IQ test for Canadians...
We can’t change the fact that there will always be shocks: like financial crises, geopolitical events, or climate catastrophes. But we need to understand what we can, and must, change. Like how much of your hard-earned money you get to keep and how effective your government is. We can change how we build as a country. How we harmonise our economy and expand trade with new partners. And how we keep Canadians secure. I want you to know that I couldn’t be more serious about strengthening our economy, and protecting Canadians.

Rustad is 💯 dead on. Too bad he narrowly missed his leadership of this province bid.
John Rustad and the Conservative caucus just released our 10-point plan to address the tariffs. The BC NDPs plan to ban Kentucky bourbon isn't going to do anything for BC. British Columbians need a serious plan. So here it is: 1. Immediately negotiate a Canada Wide Free Trade Agreement. Interprovincial barriers are the equivalent of between a 21 and 25% tariff. Open flow of all goods and commodities, including energy, will help to offset our dependency on the USA. 2. Immediately call back the legislature to implement a Fiscal Emergency Bill. a) Bill should ask for additional fiscal room to implement port and border security measures. b) Bill should identify additional funding to reopen BC’s trade offices foreign countries. c) Bill should suspend all but the essential requirements in the Environment Assessment Act. d)Bill should suspend all but the essential requirements for development permits. e) Bill should implement a quick 3 month review to eliminate as much government wasteful spending as possible to get our fiscal house in order. 3. Work with LNG Canada to immediately advance phase 2 of their Kitimat LNG project. This would inject billions in additional construction activity into BC’s economy. 4. Immediately provide a 10 year extension to the permitting of existing natural gas pipeline projects. 5. Immediately eliminate the Carbon Tax to reduce costs for consumers and businesses. 6. Immediately eliminate the requirement for LNG projects to use electricity for compression. 7. Immediately eliminate the CO2 emissions caps/targets to unleash investments in BC. 8. Work with the Mining Sector to approve and advance the approximate 17 mining projects in BC that are ready to go. This would inject about $36 billion in economic activity during construction, create 10s of thousands of jobs and significantly increase BC’s GDP and revenue. 9. Immediately strike a task force to provide targeted cost reductions for BC’s forest sector. 10. Stop work towards a power line from the Northeast to the Northwest and replace the project with natural gas fired electricity generation directly in the Northwest. This is our plan to #FightForBC.
