Prof Benjamin P. Horton at @NTUsg and kicks off the Sweden Indo-Pacific Business Summit in Singapore with a serious message on global warming and how critical the 1.5 degree global warming is. We have so far failed in communicating this to society. Let’s enable the change!

Such an important question (and obvious answer), but we need more of cross-area discussion to make sure we can tie together the entire ‘process’ or ecosystem with the openness catalyst. Thank you @ODIN_at_AU for making this your mission :) #openinnovation #openscience

The Sustainability Development Goals is a relevant and important way to work with innovationimpact in an stakeholder-agnostic manner making it possible to align across institutions and regions. Thanks @oxfordmann for the important message! @JointSDGFund #ASTP

Social innovation has a very important role in changing behaviour in society, particularly in regards to sustainability. We have a lot ideas, but one struggle is to make it work from a financial perspective and how to measure impact. Some of today’s topic at #ASTP
Importance of functional networking at today’s #ASTP conference event. And we all know that functional networking, connecting the dots and people, is key to making innovation happen. Thanks Sue, Sue Tonks for the practical reminder.

That was a very great presentation @conradsen_marie! The world needs more of that open minded and ‘just do it’ attitude to scientific collaborations without unnecessary restrictions as you do with @ODIN_at_AU #openinnovation #openscience

I'll be explaining how we use Open Innovation to establish external research collaborations within the scientific community, this friday at @ExecutiveMdg mdgexecutive.com/event/globa… #openinnovation #pharma #openscience @LEOPharmaOpen

Really good point by @IP_policy on how TTOs can help drive innovation by implementing #openscience instead of overprotecting IPR
University tech transfer have not succeeded in increasing rates of #innovation. Time for these offices to focus on building #OpenScience partnerships that reduce costs & duplication & that expand collaborations. See my article in Research Policy: pdf.sciencedirectassets.com/…

I’m very proud and happy to be part of the oDIN project alongside many other great contributors and @AarhusUni One particularly unique aspects is that there is no IPR - no results can be patented. This is to focus on the science and bridging the Uni-Industry gap more efficiently.

This illustrates a great point about the benefits of open innovation, as a way to enable and facilitate external and untraditional sources for innovation, let it be board games or pharmaceutical research. #openinnovation

I like the phrasing “we are hurtling toward a hyperconnected economy, and blockchain will provide the way to make it happen.” In this report. But still so much work to fig out, eg incentives, on/off ramps and most relevant - oracles to connect real world to the chain. #blockchain
Recent research suggests that blockchain technology will play an important role in the future economy, reports @CriptoAZ cointelegraph.com/news/block…
Last but not least in this report on blockchain status in Japan is the mention that “.. blockchain will find a clear path to integration into a wide range of systems..” this hit both the opportunity and main current problem with #blockchain today.
Interesting side comment in this well-packed data article, is the mention of the increasing interest for patient-centered innovations. Most likely catalyzed by actual implementation of open innovation and less restrictive collaboration models. #openinnovation #patientcentricity
