It's more like finding out that bernie was in Skull&Bones tbh. The ongoing refusal among tech to recognize that we have power now is getting ridiculous.
Which is not to say that I dislike or disrespect cDc. Those old textfiles made the world a better place. Respect for y'all's past achievements, but we don't get to sit on our laurels or avoid recognizing that we have power and a responsibility to use it justly, now.

We live in a world where we don’t trust software because we inspected it and it was crap. So we “fixed” it by putting all our trust into hw that we made inspection resistant so that we don’t know it is crap.
