Journey’s “Only the Young” plays as Louden Swain runs across multiple bridges spanning the Spokane River during the opening credits of VISION QUEST. Director Harold Becker used these bridges as a metaphor for his coming-of-age story where crossing a body of water symbolizes transition, rebirth, and leaving the past behind.

War is back in vogue and a zeal for war is spreading. The principle established after the Second World War, which prohibited nations from using force to violate the borders of others, has been completely undermined. #Peace is no longer sought as a gift and a desirable good in itself. Instead, peace is sought through weapons as a condition for asserting one’s own dominion. This gravely threatens the rule of law, which is the foundation of all peaceful civil coexistence.

I am thrilled w Guardians run but MLB is a broken sport. We compete against teams w 3x our payroll & fans are forced to watch playoff games in the middle of the work day.
Soon we’ll be watching Yankees & Dodgers touring the country playing each other in our stadiums (at night)!
