I pine for the day when UX research is no longer sold as a way to “validate” the designs of products or services.
This thinking limits what teams deliver.
Going down this path just to get a foot in the door creates so much extra work later on to break away from it.

I just sent my last email as User Research Lead at Citizens Advice. It's an odd feeling finishing a job while sitting at your kitchen counter. I have the deepest appreciation for my team and I'm so proud of all of them.💛

I get that tweets about how much refugees contribute to society are well meaning but I very much feel like so what? If someone's being harmed I'm not going to ask "are you sufficiently inspirational" before trying to help, accepting refugees is just good in its own right
