note: 2.18.6 and 2.21.1 include similar back-ported patches to `StreamReadConstraints` handling (wrt JSON, CBOR, Smile). 2.18 and 2.21 are the current 2.x Long-Term Support versions (unlike 2.19 and 2.20 which are closed branches)
