My take on this is to prompt AI to build a design system (styleguide): "Create a `/dev/style` page for dev env only. Review the entire codebase for inconsistencies in font sizes, corner radius, banners, etc. and make it easy to follow so the app is consistent going forward"

what have you been doing for UIs these days to prevent this? ive seen more people's sites looking like Claude Design schlop now.

Then tweak that page and refactor the codebase to follow the guidelines. There will always be giveways for AI generated UI but you gain more control and a bit more confidence on its consistency. Human designer work on this is likely the best solution which AI follows afterwards

funnily enough, software people also think they know how the rest of the world works, because they can make computers dance. which explains all the abmysal software in education, health, or any other industry that has a human component. that old meme of coders being anti-social neckbeards is wrong. such a caricature doesn't have any influence in the real world, precisely because that'd require interacting with squishy human parts. reality is much worse. reality is full of people with little understanding of anything outside their narrow domain, paired with immense amounts of hubris and power, who get mics shoved into their faces on every fucking topic imaginable.
The only people who believe any of this are non-coders. I tried to build a game (an area I’m an n00b in.) The results are amusingly disastrous - I never before coded a decent game. But I’ll crack out backend services w AI rapidly - because I coded dozens of them before…

Dejar a opus high thinking haciendo un refactor grueso mientras me hago un café me hace optimista de la IA?

If Microsoft wanted GitHub to thrive as a business, it would have a CEO. GitHub has had no CEO, close to a year. This is no mistake, but internal political battles inside of Microsoft. Welcome to corporate politics where a business unit bleeding out is just a side effect.
It's now obvious that not backfilling the GH CEO position was a mistake. Copilots recent plan change included. These are major fuck ups.

"Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves" Automated with OpenClaw. Short write up 😇
Clawshier is an open-source OpenClaw skill that logs photos of your receipts into a Google Sheets expense tracker. This dev breaks down the OCR pipeline, what works, what doesn't, and why local models still fall short for this use case. { author: @fdocr_ } dev.to/fdocr/clawshier-openc…

~7yo magic keyboard & mouse that spent the last ~3 years in a drawer without a charge. Back online for a week and impressive to see them hold their charge and overall perform so well
