Happy to share the first paper of the lab where we investigated the functional impact of X-linked intellectual disability variants on USP27X catalysis. This was a fantastic collaborative effort. Congratulations to the first author Intisar! @SanfordResearch@MartinRennie11
Last week we hosted Dr Achim Werner from @NIDCR at @SanfordResearch. It was a pleasure to hear his exciting research and get to meet such a great person.

I wanted a better way to show physical location of K99s (more coastal) are versus where R00s are (more distributed), so I plotted the data onto maps. This is from 2007-2022.

Please, don't "advise" grad students to avoid #newPI labs for their postdocs. We're VERY invested in trainees' success, and it's also an invaluable first-hand learning experience on how to set up a new lab. I don't regret for a sec having done my postdoc with a "new PI".
