I was the Appropriate Adult in this case. Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC will always be a HERO to me and all victims of child sexual abuse!
A judge just refused to jail a girl who stabbed her abuser. Then he offered to pay her fine himself.
In 2016, a 15-year-old girl appeared before Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC at Bradford Crown Court, charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. She had stabbed 56-year-old Zabhullah Boota, the man who sexually assaulted her when she was eight. At 14, she went to his home and stabbed him near the heart. He survived after intensive care.
The judge refused to imprison her, saying it would be "a disgrace to send a survivor like you to prison." She received a two-year Youth Rehabilitation Order. He also offered to personally pay the mandatory court surcharge — a move that later earned him a formal misconduct finding.
The case hit a nerve because her abuser had been convicted in 2010 but walked free with only a community order. The story originally broke in 2016 and has resurfaced multiple times since.
CONVICTED: Zahwa Salah Mukhtar, 27, died after being assaulted and thrown from a car in Romford, East London, ON 16 August 2025 by Duane Owusu, 36. They had only met a few hours earlier. He has been convicted of her murder.
7 March 2026: Ellie Flanagan, 23, was found dead at an address in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Martin McCarney, 45, said to be her step-father, has been charged with her murder.
Stephen Ireland, who targeted me with endless abuse on here because I oppose the chemical castration of children and the removal of protected spaces for women and girls, has just been sentenced to 30 years in jail for child rape.

I really enjoyed the training thank you and I cannot wait to start a group! I thought the course was really well structured. It was difficult to put myself in position of a perpetrator, but it really helped me to understand how they are feeling and thinking from both sides.
I just want to say how invaluable this training will be within my role.
You have filled in gaps in my knowledge that I never even knew existed!
You will probably hear from me at some point to pick your brains further!
Domestic abuse is ugly, and your programme doesn’t dress it up. I’ve rarely come across something that speaks so clearly and unapologetically — and that’s exactly how I work too
Thank you so much for the course Chris and Pat provided. It was insightful, and I feel really positive this will work well for a lot of people we support. I usually struggle with zoom conferences, but I found it really engaging so thank you.
Although it was three heavy days and the subject matter was incredibly emotive I found it enjoyable which feels like such an odd thing to say. I even found myself laughing a lot through out! What Pat and Chris have put together is no doubt life changing and no doubt lifesaving.
