While we're on the topic of credit...
Double-check your credit reports for accuracy. You can get a copy of all three reports each year at annualcreditreport.com. Look for these common issues:
⚠️Accounts never opened by you
⚠️Incorrect late payments or balances
⚠️Your personal info is incorrect
Report any errors to the credit bureau - instructions will be available in your credit report.

Take a few minutes out of your day today and freeze your credit.
Likely millions of people will be impacted by a recent data breach. The best way to protect yourself is to lock your credit. It’s free and quick. Here’s what you need to know:
There are three credit bureaus: Experian, Transunion, and Equifax. Placing a freeze with all three will stop bad actors from opening new credit lines on your SSN. This is much easier than dealing with fraudulent activity on your credit report.
If you need to open a line of credit yourself, you can temporarily unfreeze your credit (also called a thaw). Ask your lender which bureau they pull from and schedule a thaw. This will unlock your credit until a set date, and then it freezes again.
Here’s where you can set up your freezes:
Experian: experian.com/freeze/center.h…
Transunion: equifax.com/personal/credit-…
Equifax: transunion.com/credit-freeze…
It only takes a few minutes. But if you’re in a hurry today, bookmark this post and return when you have a little extra time. This is hands down the easiest (and cheapest) way to protect your credit.
