.@UofSClibraries and @UVALibrary have been selected as partners for On the Books: Jim Crow and Algorithms of Resistance. Partners will work to compile versions of their states’ laws and identify Jim Crow language in them. Learn more: go.unc.edu/OTBPartners @MellonFdn

U.S. scholars: $10k for faculty and $2500 for grads to use any On the Books products (NC legal corpora, scripts, workflows). Scripts & workflows cover page segmentation, OCR, & text classification. Corpora: 1866-1967 NC session laws & likely Jim Crow laws. Proposals due 7/15/22.
