Such a joy to spend time with Teresa, Karen, and Vitor in Macau and visit the University of Saint Joseph @usjmacao, while also taking in the beauty and history of the Ruins of Saint Paul’s, a @unesco World Heritage Site and powerful reminder of the deep cultural, historical, and faith rooted intersections that shape this region. Grateful for the opportunity to spend time in conversation about @uniservitate, @Clayssdigital, the Asia & Oceania Regional Hub, and @givepulse, and how we can continue advancing service-learning and community engagement across institutions, regions, and communities. These conversations continue to remind us that scaling this work is not just about systems or programs, but about relationships, shared values, ethical practice, and longterm commitment to communities. Excited for the future collaborations ahead as we explore how to better support institutions, faculty, students, and community partners in serving with greater depth, reciprocity, and impact. Carrying this momentum forward as we head to the Philippines to prepare for the IARSLCE Asia-Pacific Community of Practice @iarslce hosted at University of the Philippines Diliman @Official_UPD, centered on the theme, “Ethics of Service-Learning and Community Engagement.” Grateful for the learning, fellowship, and shared commitment to scaling this work in ways that honor the strengths of each institution and deepen our collective service to communities. #IARSLCEAPCoP2026 #IARSLCE #Uniservitate #CLAYSS #ServiceLearning #CommunityEngagement #Macau #USJMacau #AsiaOceania #ExperientialLearning #HigherEducation #SocialImpact #PublicEngagement #InstitutionalChange #CommunityPartnerships #Volunteerism

Such a joy to be here in Hong Kong visiting our close friends at Hong Kong Polytechnic University-Service-Learning and Leadership Office! We've had wonderful conversations on what it looks like to scale international service-learning globally to be done by students of @hongkongpolyu in partnership with faculty and professors. Great to have also explored the campus a bit, including a visit to their gallery! We're excited for the opportunities ahead and looking forward to exploring further as we all prep for the @IARSLCE APCoP happening in the next few days. Grateful for the fellowship, depth, and generosity brought to these conversations. Looking forward to carrying this momentum with them into the APCoP conference hosted at University of the Philippines Diliman @Official_UPD with the theme, “Ethics of Service-Learning and Community Engagement.” #IARSLCEAPCoP2026 #IARSLCE #CommunityEngagement #ServiceLearning #UPDiliman #InstitutionalChange #Asia #ExperientialLearning #Research #SocialImpact #ChangeMakers #PublicEngagement

Day 2 at #BonnerSLI26 was such a powerful reminder that community engagement is rooted in place, people, history, and relationships. 💙 Such an honor to represent Rutgers Collaborative Center and #bonnerlove at #EPChefsNight hosted by @ElijahsPromise, learning more about the New Brunswick food scene and the incredible reminder that #FoodChangesLives. Today started with “Beyond the Banks,” a beautiful place-based introduction to New Brunswick. We learned its history, culture, community partners, and the people who continue to shape this place. Grateful to Claudio Mir of Rutgers Collaborative Center for guiding us through the story of this beautiful city, for bringing in the joy and culture of The La Sagrada Familia Folk Dance Group, and for creating space to learn from Mary Curran of @RutgersGSE and Mariam Merced of @RWJUH. But honestly, the best part has been the people, reconnecting with so many good friends, colleagues, and partners across the Bonner network, including the Bonner Foundation, @CNBonners, @carson_newman_u, @ProjectPericles, and so many others who continue to lead with heart, purpose, and community. Wrapping up early after more fellowship and tonight’s reception, then heading to Asia this evening for the @IARSLCE Asia-Pacific Community of Practice hosted by the University of the Philippines Diliman. Leaving New Brunswick full of gratitude, inspiration, and lots of #bonnerlove. #ElijahsPromise #CommunityEngagement #CivicEngagement #ServiceLearning #VolunteerEngagement #VolunteerManagement #PlaceBasedLearning #FoodJustice #FoodSecurity #CommunityPartnerships #Rutgers #NewBrunswick @CityofNewBruns

Arrived late last night in New Brunswick and woke up grateful to be back in community with so many friends, partners, students, and leaders at #BonnerSLI26 @cityofnewbruns Already feeling the #bonnerlove after a powerful start to the 2026 Bonner Summer Leadership Institute at @rutgersnb. The morning session, “Senior Leaders on Crisis, Change, and Community Engagement,” was such an important reminder of the moment higher education is navigating right now that includes: financial strain, public trust, enrollment shifts, political headwinds, and rising student needs, and why community engagement has to be connected directly to institutional priorities like student success, belonging, civic trust, partnerships, and sustainability. Grateful to learn from Tiffiny Butler, Sanda Balaban of @ProjectPericles, Carol Geary Schneider of @aacu /CLDE, and Ariane Hoy of the Bonner Foundation, and especially fortunate to spend time with Tiffiny, Brian, Abby, and the Rutgers Collaborative Center team, who help oversee RCommunity powered by GivePulse. Also loved being part of the annual networking and partners fair and reconnecting with so many Bonner campuses, students, staff, and friends, including The Bonner Foundation, Depauw University Bonner Scholars Program, @DePauwU, Centre College Bonner, @CentreC, Montclair State University Bonner Leaders, Montclair State University Community Engagement and Partnerships, Montclair State University NextGen Service Corps, @montclairstateu, Sewanee, @sewaneeOCE, The Carson-Newman Bonner Scholars Program, Carson-Newman Bonner Community Engagement, @carson_newman_u, @RhodesCollege, Rhodes College Bonner Center, UH Hilo Center for Community Engagement, @UHHilo, and so many more. A few early highlights already: constructive dialogue and bridge-building with Nick Longo from Rutgers Democracy Lab and Kuminjot Bal, and a meaningful session, “Volunteering is my Niche,” with Nereida Delgado Garcia from the Garfield Public Library, Jessica Pichardo with Montclair State University NextGen Service Corps and Mariana Luna Martinez on how service, community involvement, and lived experience can help students name their leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and purpose, and translate those experiences into resumes, interviews, graduate school, careers, and lifelong civic pathways. That is what we love about this community: it is not just about service as an activity, but service as a way to build belonging, leadership, purpose, and pathways for students and communities. Excited for the rest of the programming, fellowship, and continued learning with everyone. So fortunate to be part of this community. #BonnerSLI26 #bonnerlove #Bonner #CommunityEngagement #CivicEngagement #ServiceLearning #HigherEd #StudentSuccess #Belonging #CivicLearning #ConstructiveDialogue #PublicService #Volunteerism #PurposeDrivenLeadership

The San Antonio GivePulse Team was all ears at the inaugural @societyforee IGNITE Regional Collaborative @UTSAdowntown! Just a few highlights from today! Keynote, Dr. Erica Clark (@UTSA) left us inspired to find what ignites us in our work and to remove "they" criticism that holds us back! Dr. Liz Tinoco (@TAMUSanAntonio) invited attendees to reflect on their partnerships and how we can assess our relationship-building and ensure that our partners, students, and institutions are all benefiting equally in community impact. Dr. Hector Aguilar (@UTSA) highlighted the profound impact of @UTSAHC's initiatives with Experiential Education. This was a small but mighty conference! Full of consistent engagement, reflection, and productive conversations. We're so proud to be a continued sponsor of SEE and happy to help bring this first regional conference to San Antonio! See you at the next one @cityofsavannah, October 25-28, 2026! #HigherEd #CommunityEngagement #ServiceLearning #ExperientialLearning #CivicEngagement #SEE #IGNITE @UTSAengaged @TAMUEngage @COSAGOV

A big part of student success includes helping students tell their story of service and impact. By bringing @GivePulse to campus, institutions can empower students to build comprehensive service portfolios that showcase their community engagement, leadership experiences, volunteer service, reflections, skills, and impact over time. Instead of scattered records and forgotten experiences, students graduate with a living portfolio that highlights the difference they've made and the competencies they've developed along the way. When students can document and reflect on their experiences, they gain a powerful tool for career readiness, graduate school applications, and lifelong civic engagement. See how @UNC @UNC_CCPS uses GivePulse to turn meaningful experiences into measurable student success. 🎓📷 gvpulse.com/4eoRmHG #StudentSuccess #ServicePortfolio #CommunityEngagement #CareerReadiness #HigherEd #ExperientialLearning #StudentDevelopment #CivicEngagement #GivePulse

That's a wrap on United Way NERC 2026. 🎉💙 What a final day. We heard from four CEOs who each said, in their own way, that thriving companies can only exist inside thriving communities: "The innovation wasn't making crayons — it was making crayons that could be sold for a nickel, so a colorful world was accessible to all." — Pete Ruggiero, @Crayola "A company cannot survive or thrive unless it resides in a thriving community. You've got to start by investing in your neighbors." — Chip Jett, @JustBornInc "We can't solve world hunger, but we can be relevant for the people who work for us and the communities we reside in." — Thomas Ripsam, @martinguitar. "Are we playing to not lose — or are we playing to win?" — Tyrone Muse, @VisionsFCU Then @iammikewallison, Purple Heart Veteran and leadership strategist, sent us home with the 3-C Framework: Clarity → Courage → Culture. Field-tested. No theory. Just real leadership when it matters most. And we couldn't close without celebrating the Leading Corporate Partner Award winners🏆 ✨@AirProducts — supporting 800 nonprofits across 44 states! ✨PPL — $10M raised, reaching 62 United Ways in 20 states! Thank you to everyone who showed up, leaned in, and kept dreaming forward. Celebrating a full Day 2 at United Way #NERC#UWNERC2026 We opened with a grounding from Frieda Jacques, Onondaga Clan Mother, who reminded us to bring our minds together as one, to keep of good mind, to deeply care for the Earth, and to hold the needs of future generations close. Then Dr. Robert Simmons of @NationalGrid asked the questions that stayed with us all day: "Whose dreams get held and deferred in our society?" "What does it mean to carry your dreams and values into rooms not designed for you?" United Ways, he said, are the connective tissue — connecting dreams, communities, and investment. Rosie Allen-Herring, @UnitedWay Interim President & CEO, challenged us to track what matters: go for milestones and metrics, because you are what you measure. The final morning keynote leadership panel reminded us that mentorship doesn't require expertise. Everyone has something to give. This afternoon, we heard a fantastic case study from United Way of Broome County that showed us what it looks like to transform underutilized resources into assets for the people who need them most. This is the work. PS - Shout Out to United Way of Greater New Bedford for the breakfast conversation! #UWNERC2026 #UnitedWay #UnitedIsTheWay #CommunityEngagement #CommunityFirst #SocialImpact #Volunteerism @VisitBethlehem

What a fun start to the United Way Northeast Regional Conference (#NERC)! The conference kicked off with an incredible performance by a Philadelphia Mummers String Band, giving attendees a taste of one of the city's most unique traditions. The Mummers Parade dates back more than 120 years and is the oldest continuous folk parade in the United States, bringing together music, costumes, and community celebration every New Year's Day in Philadelphia. We then heard inspiring opening remarks from Dr. Hasshan Batts at Vision Nightclub @VISIONBARPA, setting the stage for a week of learning, networking, and collaboration. From there, we explored the historic Bethlehem Steel site @steelstacks, where we learned about the company's remarkable impact on American infrastructure. Steel produced here helped build iconic landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building, along with countless ships, skyscrapers, and bridges across the country. We're staying at Wind Creek Bethlehem and wrapped up the evening at @ArtsQuest, enjoying live music, connecting with fellow United Way professionals, and sharing ideas from communities across the region. Looking forward to the rest of the week and all the opportunities to learn, collaborate, and bring new ideas back home! #UnitedIsTheWay #UnitedWay #UnitedWayNERC #GivePulse #CommunityImpact #Leadership #BethlehemPA #NonprofitLeadership #VolunteerEngagement #CommunityBuilding @UnitedWay @VisitBethlehem

Did you know GivePulse supports multi-campus systems? @MDCollege, the pioneers of the Civic Action Scorecard, created by Josh Young at the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy - Miami Dade College, leverage the GivePulse platform to scale civic engagement across their eight campuses. Miami Dade College transformed cumbersome data collection into a more accessible and streamlined process, where students can simply log impacts on their phones. GivePulse empowers institutions to track the full civic engagement lifecycle, from volunteerism and advocacy to community-based learning and civic action. Capture participation, measure outcomes, and showcase the collective impact your students are making in communities near and far. Tracking civic engagement goes beyond collecting data. It tells the story of student impact and shows the value of community engagement across campus. See how campuses like @MDCollege are transforming the way they measure, celebrate, and amplify community impact!
