This is the response to Trump’s tariffs I’ve been waiting for from Canada 🔥 "The threat comes, of course, from the president of the United States—a convicted felon and known predator." - Charlie Angus, Canadian MP

i’ve never seen canadians—politically left, right and center—so angry with the united states as right now. many americans don’t care or know why it matters. but long term the united states benefits greatly from deep and trusted international relationships. and none have been closer (and closely integrated) than us-canada.

165 Canadians died for America in Afghanistan. We spent over $20B. Why? To defend you, our ally, on the invocation of NATO Article 5. Now America slaps us with a depression-threatening trade war and threats of annexation. Unappreciative, disgraceful. We won’t forget.

We are about to enter a trade war with Canada, meaning prices of all goods imported from Canada will go up, and All US farmers and manufactures who sell products to Canadians will see their profits and revenues go down. This is what you voted for.

“The dumbest trade war in history” The WSJ Editorial Board slams Trump’s trade war with Camada and Mexico: “Mr. Trump sometimes sounds as if the U.S. shouldn’t import anything at all, that America can be a perfectly closed economy making everything at home. This is called autarky, and it isn’t the world we live in, or one that we should want to live in, as Mr. Trump may soon find out… None of this is supposed to happen under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement that Mr. Trump negotiated and signed in his first term. The U.S. willingness to ignore its treaty obligations, even with friends, won’t make other countries eager to do deals. Maybe Mr. Trump will claim victory and pull back if he wins some token concessions. But if a North American trade war persists, it will qualify as one of the dumbest in history."

Mark Carney, "President Trump probably thinks that we in Canada will give in" "We are going to stand up to a bully.. We are united.. We will retaliate" "Ultimately, the steps Trump is taking is threatening the world.. It will hit growth.. Move up inflation.. Raise interest rates.. Damage the US's reputation around the world" "This is the second time in less than 8 years that the United States has in effect ripped up the trade agreement with its closest trading partner that was negotiated in good faith"

#tarriffs 😡🖕 #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice says the entire world!
Imma keep repeating myself for those slow cousin humpers that don't seem to understand tariffs and basic concepts: We import things from other countries because it's cheaper for us. If you think we can magically start making/growing things overnight using only American citizen labor and it'll be cheaper, then you were clearly dropped on your head as a child.

For years now, I’ve enjoyed vacations to the U.S., if #TRUMP wants to treat his neighbour and ally with a 25% treaty then he sees us as an enemy. That’s fine, my trips to the U.S. are now done, Europe is very beautiful and treats us well. #TARRIFFS
