My generation "did the right thing" before we understood what that meant. Generations before us did not have this burden and our society needs to continue correcting that wrong while ensuring the next generation isn't similarly condemned. This is a great start, but only a start.

Student loan relief doesn't reach my hopes but well clears my fears. This is a productive start that will make a real difference for real people. But it needs to be the start, not end, of continued relief. The fight continues.

The center’s own ideology benefits in these “see the moderates won so we’re better than Trumpers” arguments. They’re much more committed to and effective at fighting the left than they are fighting the far, far right.
