議員外交2026 於豪州メルボルン ◎WOMAN DELIVER2026で、豪州政府とアジア人口・開発議員フォーラム（AFPPD. 会長 上川陽子）との共同で「High-Level Ministerial and Parliamentary Forum」を開催。AFPPD会長としてオープニングとクロージングの両セッションでスピーチ。 ◎日本と豪州の友好協力基本条約署名50周年という節目の年に多国間対話を深められたことに感謝。 ◎会議には、ツバルのフェレティ・テオ首相をはじめ、各国閣僚、世界各国の議員、国連人口基金（UNFPA）、国際家族計画連盟（IPPF）など国際機関、国際NGO、市民社会のリーダーが一堂に会し、SRHR(Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights）を人間の尊厳、平等、正義、そして持続可能な開発の中核課題として議論. ◎女性と女児の権利保障は安全保障や社会の強靱性にも直結するとの認識を共有。保健、教育、人権、議会人外交、官民連携を含め実践的議論を通じ、成果を各国の政策と具体的行動につなげていくことを確認しました。 ◎女性と女児のエンパワーメントと人間の安全保障の前進に向け、引き続き国際社会と連携し取り組んでまいります。

Honored to address the AFPPD High-Level Ministerial & Parliamentary Forum in Melbourne today. I shared our SRHR paradox: fertility rate at 1.6, yet >30% of women lack contraceptive access. Multilateral parliamentary cooperation isn't optional—it's survival for SIDS.

The workshop in Gulhi, organized by AFPPD in association with Adul Legal Consultancy, was a landmark event and a dream come true. We appreciate the outstanding efforts of the lecturers and the active participation of all attendees. We look forward to continuing this journey IA.

Sebentar tadi saya berkesempatan melawat rumah Sekretariat Forum Ahli Parlimen Negara Asia mengenai Populasi dan Pembangunan (AFPPD) - hasil komitmen dan kerja keras seluruh pasukan AFPPD. Dibangunkan dengan kos sebanyak RM790,930, pembinaan bermula pada 15 Julai 2025 dan siap pada 10 Januari 2026. Sebagai Pengerusi AFPPD Malaysia, tentunya saya amat berbangga dengan tersedianya pusat ini, apatah lagi apabila Malaysia dipilih sebagai negara tuan rumah Sekretariat AFPPD, mengambil alih peranan tersebut daripada Jepun. Keputusan ini diumumkan semasa Perhimpunan Agung AFPPD ke-15 di Kuala Lumpur pada 27 April 2025, dengan sokongan sebulat suara semua negara anggota. Sekretariat AFPPD akan berpindah ke Kuala Lumpur, menjadikan Malaysia pusat operasi AFPPD di rantau Asia-Pasifik bagi tempoh sekurang-kurangnya lima tahun. Pemilihan ini mencerminkan pengiktirafan terhadap peranan aktif Malaysia dalam memperjuangkan agenda pembangunan mampan, kesaksamaan jantina, hak kesihatan, pemerkasaan belia serta isu populasi. Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada seluruh pasukan AFPPD — semoga Rumah AFPPD ini dapat menjadi simbol kepercayaan dan kerjasama serantau yang berterusan. #AFPPD #MalaysiaMadani

AFPPD主催のオンライン・セミナーに、17ヶ国から議員や政策スタッフ、若者インターンなど約60人参加し開催。 テーマは「Impact of Social Media on Children and Young People 」。 冒頭、議長としてテーマに関する問題提起。その後、 オーストラリアの事例:SNSへの16歳以下年齢制限法「オンライン安全改正法（ソーシャルメディア最低年齢）2024」が成立(来月12月から施行予定)を取り上げ、オーストラリアの連邦議員とウェスタン・シドニー大学Young and Resilient Research Centreの専門家からそれぞれ講演の後、法律の背景や論点などについて議論。ネパールのカトマンズ大学法学教授からはＺ世代のSNSと政治参加について報告。今後ネット社会と若者世代の在り方について国際的議論を深めて参ります。

AFPPD2025 〜つながるアジア太平洋30ヶ国議員外交〜 AFPPDの年次地域会議の第１日目は、 朝一番の開会式で会長挨拶。 今回26ヶ国から議員等80人が参加。 今回アフリカ•中東の両地域代表を招聘。 地域を超えた連携の重要性を確認。 ホスト国フィリピン議会及び事務局に感謝！

神田眞人ADB総裁は、人口と開発に関するアジア議員フォーラム（AFPPD）議長であり、日本の前外務大臣・元法務大臣でもある上川陽子衆議院議員と会談しました。 インクルーシブな成長や女性の平等を含む人口と開発に関するAFPPDのリーダーシップが、アジア・太平洋地域に向けたADBの優先分野と密接に一致しています。 神田総裁は、「地域社会の強化と持続可能な開発の推進に向け、今後も協力していくことを楽しみにしている」と述べました。

Had the opportunity to represent India and present through online mode at the Asia Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) forum being held today at Manila 🇵🇭. My topic was ‘Utilizing Digital Media Policy for Youth Empowerment’. Digital empowerment of youth is essential to India’s future.

Today, I met with Ms. Yoko Kamikawa, Chair of @AFPPD and Japan’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Justice. AFPPD’s leadership on population and development, including inclusive growth and equality for women, aligns closely with @ADB_HQ’s priorities for Asia and the Pacific. I look forward to continued collaboration to strengthen communities and advance sustainable development across the region.
