I regret to inform you that I like you now. Please, kindly do not resist as I fail to make it how obvious I wish to serve shrines while I beg about my Visa even more shamelessly than this post. Yes I can do Japanese the auto translation is just easier on my aphasia.

...now. But with my aphasia even if I didn't use it for model or tracking or anything, I'd still need it to talk in Japanese (or to keep my English straight in JP contexts)

I notice a little of that. But more so, I notice that people are just ‘never quite well’ any more. And they get tons of viruses. Prior to 2019, I rarely had more than 2 colds a year, often none — and I have lupus &was in a public facing job. My son, healthy & robust, was rarely sick. Now everyone’s half-ill all the time. But what is so alarming is the cognitive impairment, the aphasia in everyone, constant memory loss & emotional disregulation. People are always anxious, in tears or enraged. I’m glad I’m as old as I am & don’t need to go out amongst people much. It’s no longer a pleasure. It’s downright harrowing.

My newly launched audiobook, Brokenness Becomes Beautiful, will be featured at the 2026 American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference from 25 to 29 June in Chicago, at the Printed Word Reviews Booth #4722. A voice once affected by stroke and aphasia now returns through AI. I am deeply grateful to share that my new poetry audiobook, Brokenness Becomes Beautiful, was created using AI voice-cloning technology to reclaim my original voice. To the best of my knowledge, this may be the first audiobook of its kind in the world by a stroke survivor and author with aphasia using his own AI-cloned voice. This project is more than an audiobook. It is about identity, dignity, communication, and showing that even after stroke and aphasia, our voices and stories still matter. Full story via Printed Word Reviews: printedwordreviews.com/autho… The audiobook is currently available on ElevenReader and Spotify. ElevenReader: elevenreader.io/audiobooks/b… Spotify: open.spotify.com/show/21oplb… Unfortunately, for Spotify, audiobooks are not currently available in Singapore. Based on Spotify’s listed markets, audiobooks are currently available in: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States. #BrokennessBecomesBeautiful #AphasiaAwareness #StrokeSurvivor #AIForGood #VoiceCloning #Audiobook #AmericanLibraryAssociation #ALA2026 #PrintedWordReviews #ThereIsLifeAfterStroke

I knew someone who was exposed to Agent Orange. He developed brain cancer, and in his final months, aphasia. He helped evacuate some, if not many, of the Hmong people, who sided with our government in the Vietnam war. Same government who tried to throw them under the bus. 😞
