Good Morning. Did not know that #ChristopherAlexander, author of #APatternLanguage died in spring. I was acquainted to his work as a young student in the 1980s and later learned it even links to Wikipedia.
To me the most important architecture philosopher of 20th century. RIP💐
Acabo de enterarme da morte de #ChristopherAlexander.
Para min, que estudei na inhumana escola de arquitectura da Coruña, ler o seu libro #APatternLanguage ao principio da carreira, foi coma atopar un oasis no deserto.
Grazas e boa viaxe, mestre.

#APatternLanguage
Essential reading for anyone who sees the necessity of drastic decentralization. An incredibly valuable collection of wisdom. Truly a new language -- a new lens through which to see the world and human interaction.
So sad to hear that a legitimate giant in urban design & architectural thinking, the great Christopher Alexander, has passed away. His book “A Pattern Language” was the 1st book I read during my city planning education that made me passionate about urban design. Proud I met him.
Over Christmas Break 1980, I discovered #APatternLanguage and #TheTimelessWayOfBuilding at a local bookstore and did little other than read straight through both of them sitting on my parents’ couch. It was transformational.
