ARI researchers have created artificial intelligence audio recognisers that have helped identify the endangered Sloane’s froglet outside its previously known distribution of north-central Victoria and NSW!
The new sites are spread along the Murray River corridor, as far away as Hattah-Kulkyne National Park in the Mallee. Find out more about the AI tool: ari.vic.gov.au/research/fiel…#WorldFrogDay#ARIscience
Conservation is about people! Including our values, behaviours, and our priorities for our relationship with nature.

Integration of science in policy is key to #EvidenceBased decision-making. That’s why researchers and policymakers from @BehaviourWorksA, @ICON_Science and #ARIscience got together as a Community of Practice to bridge the gap between research and practice. Thanks @lilyvaneeden
What happened in 1 minute on the Grange Burn this morning?
7am - the sun came up.
20 seconds later - Platycam had enough light to broadcast in colour.

Sad to be finishing up at #ARIscience last week. Thanks to @fernhames, @sbekessy, & @LiamSmith_BWA for the opportunity to work at the academic-government interface, exploring possibilities for behaviour change and other social sciences to support nature conservation
ARIScience, an early adopter of #N3C, was awarded a protein antagonist discovery contract by @BARDA using #AI and quantum chemistry followed by in vitro validation.
BARDA and #ARIScience are partnering under the ReDIRECT program to use #AI to screen existing @US_FDA approved drugs for potential respiratory stimulants that may treat opioid and other chemical threats and identify new drugs for further testing. ow.ly/UcaG50OZH8p
