The Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Rourkela is organising a 5-Day Short Term Course on “Learning Computational Fluid Dynamics with ANSYS Fluent” from 16–20 March 2026 in hybrid mode.
With limited seats to ensure effective hands-on engagement, interested participants are encouraged to register at the earliest via:

Hosted by the Thermal Systems Laboratory, the programme is designed to provide comprehensive, hands-on training in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), an essential tool in modern engineering design and industrial problem-solving. Open to faculty members, UG/PG/PhD scholars, industry professionals, and early-career researchers in thermal and fluid sciences, the programme aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world simulation practices.
The course will cover fundamental concepts through to practical implementation using ANSYS Fluent, enabling participants to effectively apply CFD techniques in areas such as thermal management, multiphase flows, renewable energy systems, and advanced manufacturing.
