Argdown is inspiration for the discourse graph extension! Part of wonderful space of tools for bridging the gap between natural, intrinsically and immediately useful expression, and formal, computationally "real"/navigable structure.

In my view, graph modeling for discourse/argument representation & inquiry is highly prolific. #Argunet & #ArgDown (argunet.org/) have initially raised my attention, and I am constantly looking for new approaches. So, thank you very much!

What's better than ArgDown?
I want to produce argument maps from text quickly:
open an article, highlight claims, evidence, and quickly reproduce their links (@scappleapp style drag-and-drop?).
Anything new in this space?

Markdown support for Mermaid diagrams is now available not just in GitHub/GitLab, but also tools like Typora, Notion, Obsidian. 🙂
Society if support for math expressionss/LaTeX and argument maps/ArgDown within Markdown was equially widespread:

Argdown is relevant - but not what I'm looking for - now to hope it is in one of my Roam graphs
Figured out how to outline with argdown. It's really helping me visualize all my scattered text fragments and notes. haven't gotten beyond basic parsing here, but that's next. Like that I can keep my notes in plaintext though. argdown.org/

We've come to the end of the (short) course, where we try to deconstruct larger and more complex texts. I decided to try to do it in Roam, in argdown syntax. Here's the source text thesmartset.com/article05071…. Not your typical political/philosophical argument.

Integrating Argdown with Roam, has been on my list of future projects almost since my first steps in Roam, that would be awesome! The suitability to the block structure is obvious!
