Finally home… and I crashed out hard.
Wings still humming from the flight, body heavy with exhaustion — the moment I hit the stone, I was gone. No dreams of battle, no restless shadows. Just deep, dreamless sleep under the warm lanterns.
Tomorrow it’s back to the normal rhythm. Training at dawn, blades sharpened, wings groomed, duties waiting. But tonight? I earned every second of that collapse.
Feeling lighter already. The white feathers know peace when they feel it.

There’s a bit of snow about on Abbey Foregate this morning. Very pretty, roads seem fine after gritting, but the pavements look a bit slippery so take care if you’re out.
We’re closed as usual today and tomorrow. Grandchildren in tow to finish off the Christmas break, with the final performance of Dick Whittington at Theatre Severn tomorrow evening.
Back to normal service from 9am on Monday. It’ll be good to settle back into routine again.

And yes: getting back to routine is tough.
Traffic jams, piled-up emails, teachers or bosses in overdrive… while you’re still halfway in summer mode.
Breathe. September doesn’t ask for speed, it asks for direction.
The upside: the weekend is near. Perfect to prepare calmly… with a real chance of success.
Mini re-entry plan (15 minutes):
• Pick the one thing for today (the one with the greatest impact).
• Drop one task that adds no value (guilt-free).
• 10 minutes of movement 5 minutes of focus without screens.
• Write down 3 things you’re grateful for (reset your mindset).
Do it for 5 days. The rhythm comes back on its own.
The 1% rule: a small daily step > a big pending promise.
September isn’t a steep hill—it’s a ramp. Start gently, but start.
