nah slow batspeed allows the hitter to stay in strike zone longer. HR hitters never have the fastest batspeed. murakami and judge don't have the fastest batspeed.

Joswa Lugo has been on an absolute tear the last week. 1.173 OPS the last week with 3 homers, 3 BBs to just 4 Ks. Multiple 110 mph hits as a 19 year old, including a 79.5 MPH batspeed. Unreal raw power from the Angels shortstop.

Bro just needs to go see a personal trainer. His skillset isn’t a problem, his physical regression and loss of batspeed definitely is. 🤷

Mr Breslow…. These drills have worked quite well for many. And your current batspeed/exit velo teaching PROHIBITS the critical element that these drills create. Call me. This can save your job.

If I'm Tweeting about someone's batspeed, it's because it caught my eye. Not easy to do. 👊
Had a good offensive game yesterday. Went 2-for-4 with a 2 run RBI to help my team win our Super-Sectionals. Next up STATE Semi-finals. @MaineSouthBases

Probably work on creating some batspeed earlier without relying on our hands moving down, pretty sure this is Kebryan Hayes

These guys slug. Their slug does not come from their batspeed. Neither increased their batspeed. Both increased their quickness. Stop with the batspeed training nonsense. Get your hitters quicker.

I mean like almost everyone made a hard contacts and got on base. I don’t care if it’s 0/4 game for Shohei because he has been unreal at the plate for a month now. It’s just his inability to hit high velo and batspeed numbers are lowkey concerning that’s all.

I mean if you saw the 2nd AB, Skenes just dominated him. 3 straight high 4 seamers and Shohei just couldn’t make contact with them. He is not gonna hit Skenes 4 seamers, his batspeed is cooked and high velo is just too much for him. Even though it was 95-97 not 99 from Skenes

What a great post. Rod Carew shortened his swing by making his bat have less distance to go to generate batspeed. Minimal stride, explosive short quick hands with barrel to ball. You'll eat for a career. Simplify your swing, folks.
Anytime the top of the bat almost points at the pitcher during stride, thats a long way to go to catch up with velocity. Abbreviate the load a bit. Get him to think thru the centerfield wall, not over it. That will allow front elbow to go more directly to the ball. He has a bit of an arm bar (straightening) of that elbow, which also is slowing him down. Hope it helps…

Shohei is not even swinging vs 4seamers right in the middle. His batspeed is lowkey cooked. He gotta catch up that Skenes’ changeup because i don’t think he is gonna hit 99mph 4 seamer atm. He did hit some HR vs fastballs lately but it was sinker and cutter

Excellent decision by Hayes. His swing is already pretty solid, but if you can unlock batspeed and ideally adjust the swing tilt, Driveline can unlock a brand new hitter. Easier said than done though
Ke'Bryan Hayes is going to start hitting with Driveline in Arizona according to @CharlieG__. Hayes has been on the IL with a back injury since May 21. #Reds

Shohei Ohtani keeps a dominant first inning going. He just crushed a ball 110.4 MPH off his bat, going 406 feet total. His batspeed? A freakish 76.2 MPH. Ohtani is incredible.

FD has Bolte (who has 0 homers so far) at 490. Books pretty tight on him across the board. Best price 550 on 365. Not really a whole lot there data wise except for his batspeed. Avg of 75mph which is really good.
