Rerun the flank attack on St Germain du Pert with the CoC2 rules. Took some photos of the game, various 15mm manufacturers and a lovely Cigar Box battlemat. The US attackers had 18pts of support, the Germans 12pts.

Unfortunately I haven't played classic-era D&D in ages. I can only imagine how cool it must be with modern miniatures, a nice silicone battlemat, apps for things like the campaign log, and so forth. Even without that stuff it makes for such a great time.

I've spent about 3 and a half hours total editing on the battlemat video and I'm scrapping it and starting over. I realized for the first time I hate the lighting, I hate the length of time I'm talking, I hate the music, I'm just not loving it and I'd rather start over than produce that further the way it's going.

I had a bit of a "duh!" moment yesterday. I keep trying to make a big video with a lot of parts to physically be done and recorded, and THEN edited together. Then it hit me like a salmon, swimming upstream to spawn and smacking me in the face with its tail - I should just break it up so there's shorter videos and upload those, and then release a combined version so people can watch the whole thing. So I'm gonna do the talking head and ADR for the first battlemat and get that out. Terrain to follow. I may eventually get to the point in production and speed that I don't need to break it up, but for this one, I'm gonna.
