Don’t get mad or misinterpret me, but I just don’t understand how some TAs out there can say the following:
1- “Don’t short an uptrend!!!"
My answer: Short an uptrend if you know what you’re doing. Trends can reverse much sooner than your eyes can catch it. Always be ready.
2- “The trend is your friend!!!"
My answer: Nope, nothing is your friend in this market. It’s just you, your brain, and your emotions. Stay in control.
3- “This asset is too strong, don’t short it."
My answer: If you know what you’re doing, go ahead and short it. Same for long positions when it dips aggressively. Trust your analysis.
4- "This move isn’t worth shorting!!!"
My answer: Really? The market just dropped 5-20% across the board, and you’re telling me it’s not worth shorting?
My point here:
Don’t blindly follow anyone who claims to know the market, is "all in," or says "don’t worry, this will happen." The cycles are the same every time. If they’re guaranteeing returns, run the other way. Be selective about who you listen to.
Also, if someone claims to be "related to market makers" or says "this is how it works," just ignore them. No one truly knows what will happen next.
Trading is about planning, staying aware, using logic, and constantly improving. Study, work on your system, and improve it week by week.
No system works all the time—that’s the beauty of trading. You just do your best to improve the odds.
