I've rebuilt the same project for two different founders this year.
Same story every time: hired someone cheap on Upwork, got a prototype that worked in a demo, then discovered it falls apart the moment real users touch it.
Month one, the cheap developer vibe coding you app without thinking.
Month two, you realize the database schema is wrong and nothing scales.
Month three, you're sitting on $6K of code that can't go to production.
