This week, we gathered at Georgia Gwinnett College for the Inaugural SLIC Georgia Statewide meeting! The purpose of the Service-Learning Intercollegiate Collaborative of Georgia (SLIC Georgia) is to enhance regional community engagement efforts between colleges & universities in the state of Georgia. Throughout the day, we discussed strategies for strengthening community partnerships across the state of Georgia and explored opportunities for institutions to more effectively collaborate with one another. We also had an opportunity to share about the GivePulse Ambassador Program and hear about the experiences of a current GivePulse Ambassador, Allyson Fowler! Allyson talked about the positive impacts of being a GivePulse Ambassador, including how the program has helped her become more confident when promoting GivePulse to students, staff, and faculty at GGC!
