I just used CalFile for the first time. Their robust fraud prevention safeguards were a bit annoying but once I got in, it was very straightforward. Didn't try using any of the help features though

the rent seekers won't be defeated until this program is expands beyond people with the most basic taxes imaginable. CalFile has been around for years and doesn't cover anyone with capital gains.
