Fixed. Nice work. Put 1.8.7 into a new folder and PMC works without running the unblock.

Great test! 9850X3D vs. 5700X3D benchmarks in high CPU-usage Ray-Traced games. 📊 The Zen 5 chip crushes its predecessor: ~30% more IPC × ~30% higher clocks = ~70% more single-thread performance. reddit.com/r/overclocking/s/…

Included benchmarks are unfortunately the worst at showing benefits they are mostly useful for ease of graphs. Load up netease’s large public lobbies for marvel rivals or naraka bladepoint and you’ll see the limits of your hardware.

The video has more tests. Same results. I myself overclocked frequency, ring, d2d and got a maximum of 10% boost altogether...

The 0.1% lows on the 9850X3D are higher than the average in all except one of these examples. But there the 1% lows are beating the avg. It really is a crazy difference for 2 generations.

The difference in the lows is even crazier… like wtf

No its not, for 73 avg fps, 1% lows being in 44 is very poor framtime consistency. Here is how it should look like:

this mainly due the low average fps, lowering settings (or dlss preset) will increase the average thus increasing the lows. it is easy to fix this

The lows are well into 40's, not acceptable even for 60hz gameplay

I can confirm all works ngu and d2d. Only does not work on duo x but that’s because board is retarded. Unify x and ocf no issues

Yup it did fix it, but for some reason my main windows 11 h24, it have exactly same problem but I tested my other windows 11 installation it works flawlessly it was h25 though, is there any way to find out why my main windows dosent like what's stopping it 🤔

I don't see anything wrong here, GPU util is 99%/100% and the lows have acceptable standard deviation from the average fps. normally when the average increase, the lows value will increase

Here is your 'realistic' pairing, amazing lows😄

The comments on this Reddit post again highlight that people dont understand CPU testing at lower resolutions. Yes, nobody is going to run 1080p DLSS Performance on a 4090, but there are tests where the 5700X3D is below 50 fps. No matter how much load you shift to the GPU by increasing resolution, settings, etc, you wont get more than 50 fps in that scene. Even if you pair it with a 5070 as I've seen some people recommend and the 5070 becomes the bottleneck at 1440p, you are still only going to get 50 fps in the scene tested here. A GPU cant render more frames than what a CPU can prepare, except when using frame generation, and even then it isnt rendering more frames, but interpolating.
