I built Chainpoint, a network for anchoring data to bitcoin and generating timestamp proofs. We used a token for staking, payments, and rewards. Later we, worked with Lightning Labs and released the first library for LSATs (Lightning Service Authentication Tokens) and required nodes to stake Bitcoin. I would advise you to consider this direction if you don’t want to create a new token. You can also look at projects like Venice.ai. They use a token as an access mechanism for their AI system. Reach out to @ErikVoorhees to learn more about his experience launching and growing that project. You can easily launch a token on Base if you want to experiment with this idea. @masonic_tweets has a ton of experience and the regulatory knowledge to make sure you don’t run afoul of securities laws.
