#ChainSnatching incident created Panic at Jayabheri Park, in
#Kompally,
#Petbasheerabad PS limits, yesterday evening.
A young man entered an Oil Store, when a woman (40), owner of the store was alone, suddenly threw oil bottles on her, assaulted her with fist blows causing bleeding injuries and forcibly snatched away her Gold Chain from her neck before fleeing from the scene.
The local residents chased and apprehended him. Upon receiving the information, the Petbasheerabad police immediately reached the spot and took the accused into custody from the public and recovered the snatched gold chain.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered in FIR No. 755/2026, U/s.309(6) of BNS and investigation was taken up immediately.

Investigation revealed that as accused quit his job recently and he developed an intention to commit theft/snatching for easy money.
From his possession recovered“Gold wedding chainweighing about 30.453 grams”. The arrested accused being produced before the Hon’ble Court.
The Telangana State Police appreciated the alertness and timely response of the local public in assisting the police in apprehending the accused immediately after commission of offence.
Police advise the public, especially women and senior citizens, to remain cautiousand alert towards unknownand suspicious persons visiting shops, houses, and isolated places. Public are requested to immediately inform the police through Dial-100 if any suspicious movements of unknown personsare noticed in their locality.
