JUSTICE SERVED: Ramanan Pathmanathan, 40, of Toronto, Canada — a man of Sri Lankan Tamil heritage — was sentenced TODAY in U.S. District Court to 33 years in federal prison for a prolific sextortion scheme that targeted at least 145 children across the United States.
For seven years he used Instagram and Facebook Messenger to pose as a teenage boy, groom kids, expose them to porn, and coerce them into producing child sexual abuse material.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro:
“Pathmanathan targeted over a hundred children across our country... Now, the only thing he will be exposed to is the inside of a prison cell.”
This predator operated freely out of Canada — home to one of the largest Tamil immigrant communities in the world, thanks to decades of mass immigration and refugee policies with little emphasis on vetting or assimilation.
While Canadian officials patted themselves on the back for “compassionate” open borders, innocent children paid the price.
Social media unchecked immigration = a predator’s dream. 33 years is a start.
But how many more Ramanan Pathmanathans are already here, or on their way, because politicians refuse to secure our borders and our children?
Parents: monitor your children.
Lawmakers: wake up.
Tech companies: stop the platforms from becoming international hunting grounds.
