Held in the scenic state capital Shimla—one of the three Urban-Act cities alongside Coimbatore and Goa—the dialogue brought together voices from state and local #government, #academia, #civilsociety, and the #privatesector. The Urban-Act project (Integrated Urban Climate Action for Low-Carbon and Resilient Cities) aims to support Indian cities in embedding #climateresilience and #lowcarbon strategies into core urban planning instruments, institutional processes, and financial systems. We need to have more #implementation #scientists working in the intersection of #climatechange, #nature, #biodiversity, and #health. 🙋🏽‍♂️🍃💦🦊 We know that breaching the #planetaryboundaries has serious human health impacts. We know that there are solutions to reverse these impacts. 🌀 However, many of these interventions remain as pilot scale proofs-of-concept that have not been adapted or re-designed in other contexts. #ImplementationScience and those working in the field have a big role in #translating, #adapting, and #transporting #climatesensitive and #naturebased health interventions and evidence to settings that need these the most. 🧠➡️💪🏽➡️🏡🏫🏥
