Marvin Lewis would have been the greatest soccer coach of all time.

yeah the fact that the chiefs got to keep the original (reworked) deal in place and also got to add 2 years and also got to get ahead of the market are all similar to the last time qb market will surpass mahomes again, & still no one has touched burrow's 24.5% apy/cap @ signing

This makes it still seem relatively team friendly.
Thoughts on Mahomes' new record setting contract with the Chiefs overthecap.com/looking-at-pa…

Yeah seems like it isn’t as team friendly as his last deal? @JakeLiscow

Now that OTC has full details on the new Patrick Mahomes contract, I thought that I would visualize the annual cash flow with a divider between his previous and new contract. His APY on the previous one ended up being $47.6375M. The APY on his new contract is a shade over $63M.

I dont know that you spend good money for an extra coach though he has to be able to be good on the field and that I dont see

The leadership Wagner provides would be nice but the actual play on the field I wouldn’t expect much at this point

As we all stated it would be, Cashius Howell’s deal was 100% guaranteed by the #Bengals No fighting over numbers and nonsense, real agent, and a real quick resolution. (Wink wink Shamar and Trey) Numbers verified on overthecap.com

I really think this kid is gonna work out big time for us. I feel there was a plan going into the draft and Howell was someone the Bengals wanted no matter what. Can’t wait to watch him make a positive impact on this defense.

This is actually a nice deal for him if the guarantees are solid?
Jalen Coker was due $1.075M in 2026 on an ERFA tender. The 2nd round RFA tender for a WR in 2027 should be about $6.26M. Subtract that from $35M, and that would equate to about $27.66M in 2028, which should be below the transition tag amount for that season.

I can agree about Shemar, though his contract was always going to be fully guaranteed, it was about the mostly standard language that would eliminate guarantees due to cause. As for Trey, well . . . I think we’re a better team without a stat chaser.
