Thanks, but this does not work with SDK Style projects as the References are always empty. The References do not take the ProjectReferences into account.
My guess is that I will have to use the MSBuild workspace to read and modify the SDK style project files. That would completely suck if I had to do that. I just wish the VsProj API would work no matter what style of project I was using.
Did you test that with .NET Core projects by chance? I think the Vsproj.References will be 0 in that case since the SDK style projects use the ItemGroup with ProjectReferences.
