भारत में अंग्रेजों की संख्या तो मुठ्ठी भर थी, फिर हम पर शासन कौन कर रहा था? जालियांवाला बाग में हम पर गोलियां किसने बरसाई थीं? अंग्रेजों के लिए काम करने वालों में ज़्यादातर अफसर किस जाति के लोग थे? उत्तर: भारत में अंग्रेजों की संख्या बहुत कम थी, लेकिन उन्होंने भारतीयों की सहायता से ही पूरे देश पर शासन किया। अंग्रेजों ने भारतीय समाज की जातिगत, धार्मिक और क्षेत्रीय विभाजन का लाभ उठाया और भारतीयों को ही पुलिस, सेना और प्रशासन में भर्ती कर उन्हें अपने शासन का औजार बना लिया। इस तरह, शासन भले ही अंग्रेजों के नाम पर था, लेकिन उसे चलाने में बड़ी भूमिका भारतीयों की थी। जालियांवाला बाग में 13 अप्रैल 1919 को जनरल डायर के आदेश पर गोलियां चलाई गईं। यह गोलीबारी ब्रिटिश भारतीय सेना द्वारा की गई, जिसमें सैनिक ज़्यादातर भारतीय ही थे। यानी आदेश अंग्रेज का था, लेकिन ट्रिगर भारतीयों ने दबाया। अंग्रेजों के लिए काम करने वाले भारतीय अफसरों में अधिकांश उच्च जातियों (सवर्ण) से थे, जैसे ब्राह्मण, कायस्थ, क्षत्रिय आदि। इसका कारण यह था कि अंग्रेजी शिक्षा, प्रशासनिक परीक्षाएं और नौकरियों तक पहुँच इन वर्गों को पहले मिली। दलित और पिछड़े वर्गों को शिक्षा और सरकारी नौकरियों में बहुत बाद में स्थान मिला। इसलिए अंग्रेजों के शासनकाल में ज़्यादातर अधिकारी उच्च जातियों से ही होते थे। #JallianwalaBagh #IndianHistory #ColonialRule #BritishRaj #FreedomStruggle #UnsungHeroes #HistoricalTruth #April1919 #भारत_का_इतिहास #गुलामी_की_कहानी #RealHistory #BritishEmpire #IndianMartyrs #देशभक्ति #SwatantrataSangram #HistoryMatters #IndianFreedomMovement #TruthOfHistory
