Under the #HANAANO Program, implemented by RACIDA in partnership with @Concern and funded by @Irish_Aid, Lulis Natural Resource Management (NRM) committees in Mandera have taken the lead in constructing strategically located livestock watering troughs. 💧 These climate-resilient structures directly ease the burden of water scarcity for pastoral herds. By reducing trekking distances, they minimize livestock stress, weight loss, and mortality—while improving herd health, boosting milk yields, and enhancing household incomes. World Environment Day 2025 with ActionAid Association Across India, ActionAid Association marked the day with powerful community-led actions to protect our environment: Sundarbans, West Bengal – Under Aranyo, supported by SBI Foundation, awareness drives and mangrove plantation were conducted in Basanti & Gosaba blocks to promote plastic-free living and climate resilience. Delhi-NCR (Sonia Vihar, Dilshad Garden, Nuh, Sonipat) – Plantation drives and awareness sessions in schools and communities. 270 saplings planted, 300 people engaged. Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu – Informal workers discussed climate impacts on livelihoods and called for safe, climate-resilient working conditions. Bhubaneswar, Odisha – Awareness drive and sapling plantation with youth, SHGs, and frontline workers promoting a plastic-free city.
