I’ve only ever got near that with conducrete and condudisc down south. Now add a site with a 100 stanchions then it’s a lot lower. 🤣

I've not mate. After two me and brother discussed it however we knew better earth was deeper as land was made up in the war by blitz debris. After two we saw the reading go from 230 to 130 ohms. Have you personal experience of condudisc?

This was a tight squeeze in the “plant room” but sometimes you work with the room you have. Came up nice I think. Peaked at 8.4kW production today which is nice in the sunshine. Condudisc in again and I forgot to take a picture but 100% of if I had used a rod would have hit the electric cable, far or water. Also found the cable to a garden lamp post in the soft/hand dig. 14 ohms today as well ❤️. Really happy with the roof, the guys have done an amazing job. For 18 months ish in they have come so far. I did pop up the scaffold on occasion but nah, not for me 🤣. The Zappi cam out nice as well and while it doesn’t report battery capacity in the app it does show energy flow across PV, EV, grid and battery. This was customer specified in this case. Hope you had a great day! I’m looking forward to slightly less busy tomorrow. It’s hard work running around doing the do sometimes 🤭

Clearly I did all the digging.... 600mm is a breeze with a nathan! Submain in, @EarthingL condudisc in, plant room prepared (a proper one). Tomorrow we get busy with the @GivEnergy AIO and gateway. Any guesses on the earth value? Single digits from me!

Nathan setting up for some outdoor switchgear for next weeks @GivEnergy All in one installation. Using an MCG GRP enclosure to house the best single phase switch fuse on the market from @proteusswitchg . I say that because of its space and anyone who has had to fit 25mm SWA into one within a meter cab will know what I mean! Nice WISKA UK Ltd tails gland ready for the grid in connection. We need to sleeve up the load cabling on site and the basic principle is the grid tails run from an adjacent meter cabinet into the switch fuse input. That then takes the grid supply to a remote gateway, returning the load back to our cabinet with subsequent tails connected through to the consumer unit. This will be well labelled in terms of isolation which is always the case with gateway setups. We have done these before with 2 x 3 core SWA to the gateway to keep the grid and load in separate cables/circuits. However upon thinking about it both would need to be isolated for either to be safely worked upon due to access requirements in the gateway and cabinet. But I am open to opinion on that and may revert to 2 x cables. We have used trunking to try and avoid access to single insulated cabling should unskilled persons ever be inside it. Nathans idea.... A good one I say. Riveted on the steel plate with the awesome Milwaukee Tool m12 rivet gun. We will be videoing this installation for YouTube so I can articulate my views in that way better! One thing I would say is if using switchgear outdoors ensure it is rated for use in that pollution degree area AND has an earth electrode on the system if the switchgear is metallic. We have a condudisc going on this one to help aid in that. Even within a GRP enclosure people will be stood on the mass of earth interacting with the metallic parts during times they might think fuses have operated which could maybe be a PEN fault. Awesome Proteus 100A terminal blocks which many have now copied. But these are still the best imho. Everything you see is paid for fair and square via @cefonline We need to really think carefully about outdoor switchgear much like we do with caravans, marinas and such. Equally when looking at EVSE chargers with inbuilt protective devices understanding product and wiring standards, pollution degree ratings of such equipment and how we piece that together as installers. We have plans with team Apprentice 121 to visit training providers and help with knowledge about this and other things around renewables. Aimed at the lecturers. Seen some scary views shared by a lecturer of late, the more said the less they seem to know. But we are here to support not detract. Hope you had a great week hashtag #teamsparks

My views on energy retailers doing electrical work, enphase, condudisc, scaffold safety and new build! A lot rammed into this one 🤭. But all based on real world opinions from actually doing the work week to week. Enphase micro inverters combined with GivEnergy AIO the FACTS!!! Whole home backup youtu.be/tbeCeNRkAa8 #teamsparks

It lives! This one is kind of cool. Condudisc value is decent as well

Used a condudisc on a site I knew was particularly high resistance, achieved a much better low reading A job with 2 rods went from 41 ohm to 15 ohm Generally get the hump with any reading approaches 100

It has carbon element but no it is not just a lump of it. The ConduDisc is a safer alternative to using earth rods. If you would like to know more please get in touch!

Snap, condudisc, conducrete with 14M of 70mm hard draw bare copper for our new generator earthing system- plus the slab rebar. @EarthingL all the way.#earthing #generatorearth #conducrete #condudisc

“of course the main point is that it's (ConduDisc) not going to rot and corrode away…so just one is dramatically better than…their existing earth rods and of course it's going to last for, hopefully decades without any maintenance corrosion or anything else.” J Ward

We fitted a condudisc recently for a generator and also laid a bare hard drawn copper cable 15M and encapsulated it in conducrete, plus used the rebar in a concrete slab. Rebar 15.4 Ohms, bare 3.2 Ohms, disc 34.5 Ohms, total 2.5 ohms @EarthingL

Been installing quite a few of these ConduDisc lately for battery storage installs where we have backup power. Hard slog digging the hole but much safer than ramming an earth rod into the ground and the readings are great! @EarthingL

You want to try a condudisc that'll get a low reading hopefully

I think so - I’d guess there is a possibility of a significant potential between the electrodes. How about consulting @EarthingL and see if condudisc or similar would work for the situation

Wanted to fit a earth rod today but got the gardener to dig a hole for a condudisc. What do you think the chances would be of it working in pea shingle @EarthingL. I’m glad I didn’t put a rod down might have caused some damage to the drains.🤣
