The base of the animation has been done using a couple of lines of expressions in After Effects. Then Newton drive the simulation to create the animation of the rope. And using ConnectLayersPRO to convert the dots into the line. Well, that one, I wasn't quite sure how to handle it. It just goes to show that you can never know your products and the multiple possible combinations well enough. Since all the points are on the same animation, driven by the first point, I was wondering how to switch from the "automatic" animation to a more random or organized drop as I wanted. That was the tricky part. It was eventually resolved very simply by adding a single animation key at the moment when I wanted my object to "leave" the oscillation animation, which was done by expression. Assemble them with Weld joints and animate the tension value. Based on this animation, use ConnectlayersPRO (or similar) to create an animated mask path. Link the mask to the text (see our other tutorials). Duplicate this comp and choose a frame to freeze your text, create shape layers from the text at this point. Use Newton to separate all the letters. Desynchronize all the letters so that they disappear at random. Animate them with Newton.
