After following the story regarding
#BricksandMinifigs and learning B&M’s Corporate not only allegedly cheated the previous Franchisee Owners, by ousting they from their store without any compensation or ability to inventory their store whatsoever, combined with their alleged egregious actions against the owner of all the consigned property, one has to wonder…
…successful companies, financially stable companies, usually don’t allegedly try to steal not only from their Franchisee Owners, but Customers.
The fact that this company is doing everything in their power to not lose a dime of inventory, even though it’s not legally theirs, and apparently allegedly refusing to pay the Franchisee Owners for their stake in the company, it seems as if they’re DESPERATE TO KEEP EVERY DIME.
And, in my experience, my OPINION, this is not behavior you normally see from companies which are successful and financially stable.
On the reverse, behavior such as this usually signals that a company is in dire financial straights and trying to keep every dime in the company, on the books, possibly even for sale propositions.
Frankly, what I’m SHOCKED at is not only Bricks and Minifigs actions in both instances, Franchisee Owners & Customer, but I’m stunned that
@LEGO_Group hasn’t responded; as regardless of the fact this is a completely separate company, they are, IN FACT, affecting LEGOS reputation, as well.
I think, if I were the COO OR CEO of LEGO, I would be placing a call to the CEO of B&M’s and making it very clear to them they needed to resolve their business, clean and fast, or possibly lose the ability to use LEGOS licensing, including selling their merchandise.
Because, even though it’s B&M’s who started these problems, and has, in my OPINION, been egregious in their behaviors, the main name here which everyone hears each and every time this is discussed on social media is LEGO, LEGO, LEGO.
Guess what name sticks in peoples minds with the negative association that Bricks & Minifigs has caused?
You guessed it, LEGO.
It certainly doesn’t help that a multi-billion dollar company, LEGO, which has had life-long loyal customers, making their lives comfortable, has stayed absolutely silent, not willing to get involved and stand up for their customers who have made this company what it is today.
Frankly, I don’t care if it’s not your company. Or that you didn’t make any of the deals.
It’s the FACT that they sell your merchandise, use your company’s name, marketing shots and advertising in their business, to help them sell products, that’s enough. Effectively, they’re using your company, your products, for their success; something they had NOTHING to do with the creation of.
Thus, they should care for, and tend to, not only their reputation, but how their actions affect YOUR REPUTATION. And if they are out of line, as they clearly are, be called to task.
Americans have HAD IT with big corporations stealing from them.
If these companies will not back us, then we don’t need to continue supporting them.
Never forget, WITHOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, YOUR COMPANY DOESN’T EXIST. YOUR JOBS DON’T EXIST. YOUR INCOME DOESN’T EXIST.
So, is it really THAT difficult to take a stand for the ones who make this all possible for all of you; especially when they’re taking your name down with them?
I don’t think so. Not when all it would take is a single phone call to light that fire. 🔥
