@Ryan10479 — Clear Stolen Valor Scammer 🚩
Account claims to be USMC Recon Marine (1st/3rd Battalions, AFRICOM Djibouti, elite ops) but everything screams fake. Here’s the full breakdown:
1. Bio full of amateur errors
“3D.1st Recon Battalions” (should be 3rd and 1st), “Dirct Action Raids”, “counterterrorismoperations” all smashed together. Real Marines don’t butcher their own unit names and service history like this.
2. Fake dog tags posted as “proof”
He shared dog tags that are clearly fabricated — wrong style, formatting, details, or inconsistencies that don’t match real USMC tags. No authentic, readable dog tags appear in any of his uniform-style photos either.
3. CGT patch lie
Photo shows a CGT (Company Group Team) patch on a black tactical jacket. This is a Ukrainian brand selling merch to volunteers and civilians.
When asked, he claimed “I created a custom CGT.” Total nonsense — these are standard off-the-shelf products anyone can buy online. Zero link to USMC Recon.
4. Generic/stolen photos (no real military indicators)
• Security/contractor shot: Black jacket with “SECURITY” armband handgun (civilian gear, not USMC).
• Snow camo with dog, group with Blackhawk, skull mural team photo — all stock/generic tactical images.
• No consistent face across authentic Recon unit photos, no official scrolls/battalion patches.
• Profile avatar: Civilian plaid-shirt car selfie with neck tattoo.
5. Classic scam behavior
Low engagement, defensive replies when questioned (“You are really clueless”, etc.). Scrapes personal details (like your state) to build fake rapport. Typical grooming before asking for money, gifts, or crypto.
6. Likely operated from West Africa
Matches organized “Yahoo Boys” scam networks in Nigeria (especially Lagos/southern areas) and Ghana. These groups mass-produce military impersonation profiles using stolen operator photos and AFRICOM claims.
No verifiable records of any “Ryan” with this exact background in 1st/3rd Recon. Real special operators don’t cold-message strangers with custom-patch fairy tales and fake dog tags.
Report for impersonation/stolen valor!! These scammers exploit patriotism and trust. Stay safe out there.
