#MentalHealth #Gratitude
1). I'm Grateful, ALTHOUGH I have a
#Disability {RBKA - Right Below Knee 🦿
#Amputee} I Am Not
#Disabled
I'm Just As Active, IF NOT MORE ACTIVE, THAN I Was When I Had 🦵🏿 Two 🦵🏿Legs. I Am Well Aware That a Lot of
#Amputees are NOT Where I Am When it Comes To Their Amputation.
My advice to those Amputees who have Doubts about Your Ability, NEVER GIVE UP. Never Doubt YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR MOBILITY.
Your New Normal: IT's Entirely Up To You To Make "Normal" YOUR NEW NORMAL
2). When YOU get
#Depressed,
#Down On Yourself BECAUSE of Your
#Situation, Your
#CurrentLife Situation 👉🏿 Always Remember, there's Ample Evidence of THIS All Around US, There's Always Someone Worse OFF in Their Situation Than You ARE IN YOUR SITUATION. 👈🏿
Each Day FIND Something to be
#Grateful ABOUT. No Matter What Your Situation IS IN LIFE THERE'S ALWAYS Something You Can Be Grateful For Having As Part Of Your Existence.
Finally Remember This Saying: "I used to get Depressed about having No New
#Shoes to wear, My Shoes Were Old & ratty with "holes in the soles." Then I saw someone who Had No Feet."
True Story ⤵️👇🏿⬇️👇🏿⤵️👇🏿⬇️
One day while walking to the store I saw a young woman coming towards Me Who Had No Feet.
This Young Woman had two stumps where her legs used to be. She had 2 blocks of wood on the end of gloves that were taped to her wrist to help her move her body forward.
For the next year & a half I thought about that young woman & how ashamed I felt worried about My
#Amputation when this young woman had no feet.
There is Always Someone
#LessFortunate Than You WHO has DECIDED to
#SURVIVE &
#Thrive.
Dealing With Their Situation With
#Determination &
#Ingenuity To
#Live.
