I want to bust a common #Cycling myth 💥
That spinning at high cadences is "more aerobic," shifting power from the muscles to the cardiovascular system, thus ⬇️ fatigue & ⬆️ performance. But science tells a different story. Let's break down the evidence. #CyclingScience 🚴🧵👇
"ACCEPTED 🚴♂️🚴♀️ Do men and women fatigue the same in pro cycling?
New study in JSAMS:
✅ Up to 10 kJ/kg, same power.
⚠️ At 20-30 kJ/kg, female cyclists drop more in 1-20 min efforts.
💡 Key for tactics and training.

Overtraining?
There's a smarter way. 📊 Use your powermeter to find your sweet spot and make flow a repeatable process.
Try this: 6x12 min. intervals, alternating 2 min. at 95% FTP and 2 min. at 85%.
Boost your performance without burnout.

🚴♂️ Naturally Bicarbonated water for better cycling performance? 🤔Study says ‘not really’. Might tweak blood pH, but as for boosting your ride? I think not. #CyclingScience#HydrationMythsqxmd.com/r/38140311
