Funny lore, you were the first main character “villain” when I first got here in 2019 It was my like third week at @Consensys and they put me on a plane to Osaka for DevconV (which was an AMAZING exp, thanks Uncle Joe) where I knew nothing about anyone and you were (publicly) being accused of being anti-Semitic (can’t find the OP) and had named MolochDAO as such to scare children and slow down mass adoption. I’m super glad I didn’t buy into the Ameen FUD lol Thanks for unabashedly driving shit forward

Probs bc black t-shirts w/ logo have been “out” for ~3y now (but high quality socks are still okay) If the protocol is exciting, folks will want to wear the swag, otherwise it’s airdrop ineligible free advertising I’ve been on the hunt for high quality novel things: -soft enamel pins -Stuffed animals (for the kids) -would have loved to have gotten a branded beer stein Here’s a not-so-short thoughts list of some of my favorites from over the years, briefly, purely from vibes-memory: I really liked @EthCC’s dual tote/drawstring bag and sleep-mask this year, and the branded disposable camera was a nice touch @PoolTogether_ did a beach towel for permissionless a few years ago @1inch always does a limited run sports item (skateboard, skiis etc) tho I’ve never won one 😂 - and shorts I wear regularly @chainlink usually has a novel and quality localized shirt/sweatshirt - and their hockey jersey was 🔥 - my favorite tote bag is one they gave out at @NFT_NYC (in 2022 I think) @opolis had the North Face 3-pocket vest I’ve gotten a few solid water bottles over the years, best ones were ETHDenver Nalgene, and @variantfund did a solid thermos this year, as did @FoundryServices at Consensus (2023?) I have an amazing duffel bag from @zksync, the fleece is solid too, and I got a pair of sweats that are super comfy. The zero stuffy & book also good, but I’m annoyed non-devs had no way to access their EthCC swag (puzzle looked neat) @G7_DAO gave out some really cool key caps I’ve got in my keyboard Got a solar powered power brick from @Filecoin Green, and they (@protocollabs) did a solid hat & bright green fanny pack a few years back @FireblocksHQ did a branded pair of mini snacking chopsticks at ETHDenver 2023 I use regularly @0xMantle did branded coasters this year (alongside EthCC), novel Got a 1oz #Bitcoin branded silver coin from @BitPay at Consensus (2023?) @gitcoin has a massive catalogue of swag ranging from clever shirts to books & comics, to socks to HackySacks & more. One of the best is the #QuadraticLands light jacket I always love a @hatsprotocol hat bc I’m a sucker for puns For @EthereumDenver 2024 we produced a limited run metal spice grinder (in two colors) that performed really well, as well as a Buffi-cap beanie with floppy and LED ears. We also did the Bufficorn (and Sporkwhale) plushie that is a fan favorite, custom poker sets cards coins, scarves, Few years ago @TheDAOist_ did an electric lighter @vegaprotocol did a limited run of a branded backpack a/ laptop sleeve for ETHDenver 2022 that I still use today I’ve got a handwoven bracelet from @parisrouz from Bogota @Consensys did an all-in-one travel converter in 2019 that I still use (and make the joke that it’s their highest performing product 100% uptime lol) @GnosisDAO and @MetaMask both did high quality sweaters you could actually wear out and still look presentable @willyogo used to hand out these awesome @ShapeShift cards @CoWSwap cowboy hat, fishing hat, coins @LefterisJP bird stickers I live for the @poapxyz patches, bc they have a solid stick always locally themed for max nostalgia My favorite shirts: -2019 ConsenSys DevConV shirt that looks like a KISS shirt -@opolis grey ‘22, green ‘23, blue ‘24 -Chainlink ETHDenver 2023 long sleeve mountains -@HyperPlayGaming / Bufficorn crossover -ETHDenver 2023 Stewards shirt, BUIDLx 2023 & 2024, @BufficornV, and many many others -a handful of @TheMetaFactory limited runs I retired to preserve (their RFID-blocking pouch is great) My favorite socks in active rotation are from: @LensProtocol, EthCC, @NPR, @EthereumDenver, @MetaMask, @CoWSwap, @GnosisDAO, @zkBob_, @graphprotocol, @chainlink, @circle, @AcrossProtocol, @gitcoin, @coinbase, & @SporkDAO Only thing left was shoes, and I got a pair of #giftgoat Vans from @garyvee / @veefriends, as well as Duck Boots (that I had @frankynines sign) What did I miss fam? 3/7 I left @ConsenSys in Feb 2020 and went to @EthereumDenver as a volunteer to build rep and try to find another job in the space- bc so many of the great folks I met at DevConV insisted I not give up on the revolution just bc ConsenSys off-boarded us Boy am I glad I stayed

2/7 3 years ago September I was hired onto @PanvalaHQ at @ConsenSys — and two weeks later I was on a plane to Osaka for #DevConV I had only 1 friend in the space (@jacobc_eth) and #Web3 was just a buzz word w/o meaning to me I cannot believe how far we’ve come since then

I earned my first @poapxyz at #DevConV in Osaka and my second POAP was the Volunteer POAP at @EthereumDenver 2020- issued directly from Patricio @worthalter, handed to me by my Vol Coordinator, @caseygaETH, for serving shifts at the Registration Desk Yup, we’ve come a long way

I just figured out why meeting the real Doge at #DevconV felt surreal - it’s his relative age. Rough consensus seems to be that four crypto years pass in each calendar year, which makes Doge at least 168 crypto-dog years old since his December 2013 debut. Looks great for his age!

devconVでUX BootCampのファシリテーターやってたAmy Jungさんとコンタクトとれまして、世界のブロックチェーンデザイナーのリストは共有してもらいました。 strategic designとあわせて追ってたらかなり刺激的ですね。

devconV以来各所ウォッチしてるのに日本人が全然見当たらない。 目立った動きはconsensys design teamくらいかなあ。 あれも結構webフロントエンドのことが割合多いイメージだけど。
